Dear Sir or Madam:
I'm a recent PA graduate of MCPHS University in Worcester, MA seeking a position in pediatrics or primary care/family medicine.
Throughout my clinical rotations, I furthered my knowledge of medical practice in a variety of settings and populations. With my dedication and diligence, I will be able to play an essential role in the healthcare team in delivering high-quality care to patients. Each site was a valuable contribution to my knowledge base and ability to work with all types of patients, health care professionals, and environments. I sought as many learning opportunities as possible in every location. Several of my rotations in particular allowed me to gain focused primary care experience. During my time in two private practices and two group practice internal medicine offices, I was able to work with patients of all ages, participating in comprehensive physical exams, preventative care and counseling, and diagnosis and treatment of a range of illnesses. At the Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital, I assisted in the care of the medical needs of psychiatric patients, developing skills in interactions with patients of varying backgrounds. Other rotations in hospital and nursing home environments gave me exposure to cases requiring more acute and specialized interventions.
As a new graduate I am easily trainable, and highly motivated to learn constantly on the job. I look forward to utilizing my skills in a primary care setting where I will work with a team dedicated to excellent patient care. I am applying for my Massachusetts license as soon as I receive my PANCE score. Thank you for considering my resume. I am available for an interview at your earliest convenience. I have references from preceptors on request and I look forward to communicating with you to discuss the next steps.
