PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE FOR COURSEWORK
Numerical Methods in Heat, Mass, and Momentum Transport 9/2011 – 12/2011
•Studied and modified a Fortran 77 code that numerically solved the Navier-Stokes equations for laminar flow
•Modifications include boundary conditions and initial conditions
•Plotted streamlines, temperature contours, and vorticity contours and compared them to published papers
Air Quality Modeling 1/2013 – 3/2013
•Developed chemical related models using numerical integration for nonlinear second order ordinary differential equations and second order partial differential equations
•Examples: Runge-Kutta 4th order method, alternating direction implicit method, and Crank-Nicolson method
OTHER PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE
Debugging 6/2012 – 8/2012
•Fixed an error in a complex code consisting of thousands of lines
• The bug caused calculation errors when subtracting two large, almost equal numbers due to computer loss of significant figures (i.e. catastrophic cancellation)
Sensitivity Analysis 1/2012 – 6-2013
•Coded a program to output a large array that prepares a file to be analyzed via Latin Hypercube Sampling
•Obtained a third party program to use the outputted array to perform the analysis
•Performed the analysis on an atmospheric chemistry model to help fit a set of experimental data
COMPUTER RELATED EXPERIENCE
Lab Administrator 9/2011 – 6/2013
•Managed Ubuntu lab computers’ user accounts, security updates, web server, and version upgrades
JOB EXPERIENCE
Meridian Link – Software Integration Engineer 6/2013- Present
•Work in a team to implement, test, and maintain integration components for web applications in the financial services industry
•Communicate with clients to assist on software integration related issues (via phone and e-mail)
•Main software use: VB.NET
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY
Thai Club 9/2006 – 12/2010, 9/2012 – 6/2013
Student member
SKILLS
Programming: Fortran 77, MATLAB, VB.NET
