Summary

I graduated from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine at 1997,then I participated in pediatric residency program in central hospital of children in Damascus to receive Master Degree in general pediatric diseases at 2000, which was certified from Ministry of High education in Syria Damascus University, then I continued to receive Board certificate in general pediatric diseases in same hospital at 2002, which was certified from Arab Board of specializations in Syria

After I had the master degree, I worked at Red Crescent hospital in Syria,for one year and half from half 2001 to end of 2002 as Pediatrician, specialist.

After I had PhD Arab Board certificate in pediatric disease,I came to Saudi Arabia at 1\2003,then I had Accreditation and professional registration at 3\2003 as senior specialist registrar general pediatrician from Saudi Commission For Health to work at Consultative Medical Clinics K.S.A, Riyadh from 2003 until recent as senior specialist registrar, general pediatrician

Personal qualities

I have leadership skills in my work especially when working as team, so I have ability to communicate effectively with patients,families, nurses,doctors,and other hospital or medical centers staff and many patients noted this and one of them put thanking certification at newspaper Riyadh for me due to I diagnosed three subspecialist medical cases for his three kids through several years, also sharing in development of junior medical staff, and participating in educational activities, and planning activities to develop the place, plus ability to do the public medical education in general society between people,and following up the continuing medical education

Experiences after specialty (from the oldest to the newest)

At Red Crescent hospital in Syria, for one year and half from half 2001 to end of 2002 as Pediatrician, specialist, in the clinic, and E.R (my responsibility there is same as explained down ), plus working in the pediatric intensive care unit, nursery room to deal with neonates ( full term or premature )in the incubator at neonatal intensive care unit, also in delivery room for neonatal resuscitation with every caesarean section and all complicated normal deliveries, also within my responsibility to be with the surgical patient before operation to decide ability of him to do the operation and the fluid supply, plus to decide the doses of drugs according to the age and weight, and after doing the operation to determine the stability of the patient, fluid supply again, and doses of drugs according to the age and weight and kind of surgery

This work in the hospital after getting pediatric master degree, plus working hard during period of residency, makes me able to deal with all inpatients, outpatient, intensive unit patients for neonates and children with full responsibilities of pediatrician (admission,plan of stabilization for acute symptoms, plan of medical diagnosis, plan of treatment, plan of discharge and follow up dates as OPD

Responsibility

In clinic, I see children from age birth to 14 years old and they are my full responsibility at first line :

Treating all acute common infectious pediatric diseases

Studying the pediatric chronic diseases with fulfill professional experiences in all general pediatric diseases and neonatal diseases, plus excellent experiences in pediatric subspecialties to provide the medical care by using current best _evidence based standers and best judgment ( achieving a good plan for diagnosis by taking good medical history,clinical examination, order special investigative tests which help me in good diagnosis, so I deal with the Department of Radiology and Laboratory to order the investigative surveys as necessary for each patient, and explain the medical cases for them so they can compare their results with the patient's case and to discuss the medical case with me, this is important for good complete diagnosis,

finally deciding treatment and determine dates of follow up, respecting the duration of treatment and follow up according to each disease

Sharing the responsibility with other specialists and consultants pediatricians and another specialties and subspecialties to order all consultations related to the medical cases and to answer other doctor,s consultations when they consult me if need, like surgery for acute symptoms or before operation, also ( skin, eye,ear,bone) diseases,collagen diseases, endocrine diseases,digestive disease,heart diseases etc because I have excellent experiences in pediatric subspecialty also

In healthy child clinic to give vaccinations,observation growth,recommendations of nutrition at infants and children,and order routine screening investigations

In ER : dealing with urgent cases and work with a team (assistant nurses and other specialists and consultants ), to treat the acute symptoms and life-threatening cases to give the stability>>> then put decision of admission in hospital if need (also transfer to hospital by ambulance if need)

daily number of patients : 30 to 5o patients according to season ( winter,spring,autumn,summer ) and we receive patients with medical insurance and cash patients . rate of cash to medical insurance patient : 1\3 to 1\2 .
