Project Name: Service Oriented Architecture Implementation for Pipe Link Process
Client: Enbridge Inc., Canada
Role: Technology Architect
Environment: Oracle SOA Suite 11g– 11.1.1.5
Components: BPEL, OSB, XSLT, PL/SQL, Spring Beans, SSRS
Project Description:
The Pipe Link program of Enbridge is one of the complex business processes that involve huge data processing and complex calculations. User Interfaces interact with unified BPEL which in turns called child BPEL services, thereby bringing in concept of Encapsulation and Virtualization. BPEL services with database via Data Access Services that are built using custom ADF-BC architecture, wrapped by OSB thereby allowing loose coupling and re-usability. Complex transformation logic were used inside BPEL services, which converts data into the desired format expected by business applications for calculations. File Based Metadata Store was used to store re-usable artifacts (Schemas and WSDLs). Processed data stored in database are accessed by reports that are built using SSRS. Complex Stored Procedures, Functions and SQLs were incorporated to get the data from tables in the formats required by reports.
Responsibilities:
As a technology Architect, discuss and debate with other product managers about new requirements from the customer market space, follow the market trend to check where the product has to be updated, and come up with scope / road map document which will further be enhanced into proper requirement document with the help of function designers.
Analyze various options and come out with the right scope and direction which best suited the client requirements.
Transforming business requirement into technical design encompassing various building blocks of the solution.
Manage a team of engineers, help them in technical realization, review and test the build.
Integrate individual build and final functional testing.
January 2013 - July2013
Project Name: Enabling SOA Human Workflow for Oracle Identity Management

Components: BPEL, Human Task, Oracle Business Rules
Project Description:
The requirement of this project is to enable SOA (Human Workflow) for their Oracle Identity Management Applications. This project is aimed at replacing the client’s legacy system with Identity Management Application allowing Workflow Model for their user approvals and provisioning. Various Interfaces are built using BPEL, Human Task, Oracle Business rules and Notification Services which enable User Approvals with Notifications at various levels of the Business Processes. Custom User Interface applications were built using ADF, integrating with Human Workflow to accept specific requests from Identity Management for provisioning.
Responsibilities:
As a senior consultant understood the functional requirement and provided optimal technical design
Discussed with various technical analyst and came up with the most suitable SOA product that will meet the client requirement
Channelized the requirements into specifications and design documents. Presented various POCs of the Integration solution to the customers and business analysts.
As a single handed individual contributor, took up the full responsibility of designing interfaces and their implementation.
Conducted multiple dry runs of intermediate build progress to gain confidence of the client
Ensured that the integration solution strictly adhered to the best practices and Oracle SOA design/implementation standards.
August 2011 – January 2013
Project Name: Enabling SOA for Banking Solutions and Financial Reporting
Client: American Express
Role: SOA Consulting, Design and Development
Environment: Oracle SOA Suite 11g– 11.1.1.3
Components: BPEL, JCA Adapters, Human Workflow Services, AIA
Project Description:
This project was aimed at enabling Service Oriented Architecture for integrating various front-end applications to bring about a better Banking Solution. The aim of the project is to generate Financial Reports complying FRS standards by consolidating inputs from multiple sources like General Ledger, Financial Consolidation Hub (FCH), Form and Web based user entries etc. The SOA services were built to automatically process the input CSV/flat files stored in an FTP location and load the data in the data base using Technology adapters like FTP, File and DB adapters. Human Workflow service was built to involve external Human Intervention for additional inputs. Oracle Business Rules and Decision Tables were developed to build complex calculation logic for arriving at various consolidated amounts. Interfaces were built that converts the data from the database to files which get converted to reports using external application
Responsibilities:
Played a major role in requirement gathering and transforming it into conceptual solution and technical design.
Analyzed the best suitable Integration Architecture that would fit the requirement
As a part of technical realization team, ensured that the services built followed the service oriented architecture concepts of virtualization, encapsulation, loose-coupling and re-usability.
