12.BMS MQ Migration

Description

BMS MQ Migration is a development project from BMS (Bristol Myers Squibb).BMS MQ migration is for converting all existing MQIntegrator interfaces to webMethods. Currently BMS has employed a middle ware, MQ Integrator, from IBM, to integrate all disparate applications such as Manugistics, Delta V, Briqtone, etc., with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) application - SAP FDG & HR. However, the version of MQIntegrator that BMS is running will go out of service on December 1, 2006. To avoid the risk of running unsupported software, the Integration Competency Center within Global Shared Services of BMS has decided that all new development for Enterprise Integration should occur on one tool, webMethods and further that MQ Integrator will be replaced by webMethods.

The task was to develop interfaces for various applications of BMS. The onsite team provides the necessary details from client. Here in offshore we need to develop the integrations based on the details provided by our onsite team. We prepare Program Specification documents and unit test plan for each integration. After getting reviewed by offshore and onsite co-ordinator, the program specification document is sent for approval to the client. After getting the approval the interfaces are developed in development server of the client. Finally along with unit test results, the code and unit test plan document is submitted to the onsite co-coordinator.
