PROFESSIONAL ABRIDGEMENT
Young, dynamic and research- oriented audiologist & speech therapist seeking a position that will effectively maximize my experience on speech therapy and Audiological rehabilitation, health care administration and community organization. Hands on Experience:
Specialized in: Voice, Swallowing cases, Pure Tone Audiometry, Tympanometry, ABR,Nuerological cases both adult and childhood, Hearing aid trial, Neonatal BERA screening with MB 11,Counseling and Tinnitus retaining therapy.
With the guidance of the ORL-HNS faculty I could strengthen/start following services in the department:
1.Hearing Services: We are doing around 15-20 pure tone audiogram each day once the patients are seen by the ORL-HNS team. Hearing aid trail and rehabilitation is also done
2.Speech Services: Adult and pediatric patients are given speech therapy for a varied range of diseases. They are around 10-15 cases
3.Voice Clinics: All voice disorders are examined with the ORL-HNS team with video laryngoscopy and planning of treatment is done.
4.Dysphagia: Patients undergoing pharyngeal, laryngeal surgery, radiation, neurological disorders are seen and evaluated with Functional Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing. (FEES) and appropriate therapy is given and followed up.
5.Universal Newborn Hearing Screening: We could restart this screening, all newborns at our hospital are screened before they are discharged for hearing with Beraphone MB 11 screener.
6.Neurology/Stroke Unit: Stroke unit rounds are attended with the neurology team and speech evaluation and therapy given.
7.Theory class: Theory classes for MBBS/BPT students are regularly taken for hearing and speech.
8.Audiology interns: Performed as work supervision, classes and teaching.

Participated the 42nd National Conference of Indian Speech & Hearing Association at Bangalore from 22nd – 24th Jan-2010
Participated in the National Workshop on Professional Voice; Assessment and Management held at All India Institute of Speech & Hearing (AIISH) Mysore on 9th & 10th December 2010.

ACIEVEMENT
I was able to start the enlisted services in our department in CMC Hospital:
Hearing services: Around 15 to 20 PTAs and impedance audiometer were done daily. Hearing aid trial and rehabilitation (AVT) were also carried out.
Speech services: tb-tS cases of speech therapy were given every day to both adult and pediatric age group for a varied range of diseases.
Voice Clinics: All voice disorders are examined along with ORL-HNS team with video laryngoscopy and planning of treatment is done.
Dysphagia: Therapy for patients undergoing pharyngeal, laryngeal surgery-radiation and neurological disorders and also did Functional Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) along with ORL-HNS team.
Universal Newborn Hearing Screening with MB-II BERA Screener. Screened all the newborns for hearing before they are discharged.
Neurology/ Stroke unit: Attended the morning rounds along with the neurology team and speech evaluation and therapy were given.
Theory class for MBBS/BPT students were conducted by me regularly for speech and hearing.
Audiology and speech therapy interns was directed under my supervision.
Assessment of speech and language disorders in stroke patients admitted in stroke unit were carried out.
Implemented speech therapy services to stroke patients in the outpatient department.
