Description (Mortgage): The Fee Management system requires too many manual processes and is the thereby not sustainable in the long term. As such, end-to-end business processes will be clearly defined and understood to enable the global deployment of standard technologies. Audit trial details will be included to provide traceability and enable clear adherence to compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

I have worked on three different modules for this project. Loan Document Review (LDR), Notice of Sale (NOS), JRules and Segmentation.

LDR and NOS are upstream systems from which data is passed to the Fee Due System. I have created test data for these two feeds in .csv format. The data was prepared for both positive and negative test cases. I have FTPed the data from the local desktop the MST CSI folders using WinSCP tool. From here the data was picked up by the MQ. Once processed, I have logged on to the Iseries (AS400) tables and verified the data. Prepared Test Plans and Test Cases and executed Test Scripts.

JRules is an automated rule processing system that processes the outstanding fees in the Fee Due system using a pre defined set of rules. There are hundreds of rules in this system that had to be tested. I have tested about 50 rules in this system. The main component of this testing is to condition the existing data to meet the rule.

Segmentation is the process by which some of the outstanding fees are calculated within ISeries itself instead of going to JRules engine. I have tested one segment which involved writing test scripts for more than 30 scenarios. I have conditioned the existing test data to find the correct first loans and HELOC loans that fall into the different categories/segments for different FEE rules to calculate the Fees incurred on the loans .

Executed the tests and verified the data in the Iseries database tables.

Extensively used EQ tool (java based tool to access data on ISeries) to write SQL queries to condition data and also verify the data after executing the tests.

Used Quality Center for test plan and test lab. Manually ran the tests in test lab and documented the expected and actual results for each script. Attached screen shots to the defects wherever applicable.

Created defects in QC and participated in weekly defect calls with the project team.

Conducted Functional/Base Case, Integration, System, back-end, Re-test, Performance, End to End, Regression, Security and User-Acceptance (UAT) testing manually.

Prepared test data for the UAT as per the specifications of BRD.

Retested the defects and documented the results in QC

Environment: ISeries (AS400), DB2, MQ Series, WinSCP, Quality Center, EQ, SQL
