MINI PROJECT TITLE: An industrial oriented miniproject on lube oil system of disel locomotive in disel loco shed kazipet

DESCRIPTION:Lube oil analysis a significant in assessing contamination levels and managing the condition of the lubricant and machine components. By establishing target levels foe lubricant properties, contamination and machine wear and measuring actual equipment performance against these limits utilities can quickly identify and resolve abnormal condition before internal component damage occurs. This report outlines proactive techniques for maintaining lube oil system cleanliness and reducing internal component wear

MAIN PROJECT: Characterization of brass weldment by using friction stir welding

(FSW)

DESCRIPTION: Brass materials widely used as engineering materials in industry because of their high strength, high corrosion resistance, high electrical and thermal conductivity. However,it is difficult to fusion welding of brasses. The main problem of these alloy in fusion welding is the evaporation of the zinc during the welding process. After the welding the weld metal becomes porous.the brass material losses it’s physical & chemical properties.

So it has been directed investigators to apply new methods to solve these problems.Friction stir welding (FSW) is an emerging solid state joined process invented at The welding institute(TWI).
