PMO • PROJECT MANAGEMENT • PROCESS IMPROVEMENT • SIX SIGMA BLACK BELT CAREER HISTORY
BANK OF AMERICA (BAC), Simi Valley, CA 2002 to 2015 During my tenure at Bank of America I was known as the operational efficiency and process improvement expert. Lead multiple projects including several in insurance claims, vendor management, document management, mortgage servicing and the like. Ability to understand the big picture, analyze current state accurately, find best solution quickly and execute to completion.
Select Accomplishments:
Eliminated HOA foreclosure losses in three month saving $214M a month: About half the states allow HOAs to foreclose on a property without property notice to other lien holders in a way that wipe out the lien and leaving the lien holder with a total loss. This issue went on for years. Within three months of taking over the leadership of this area I generated a unique idea to monitor HOA foreclosure activity that resulted in reduced losses from $215M (597 loans) a month to $1M (5 loans) in a 6 month period.
Insurance Claims: Drove internal team to outperform number one vendor in the industry. Internal team average cost to file a claim was $250 compared to vendor’s cost of $990. Average recovery for the internal team was $7,400 compared to the vendor’s average recover of $5,000.
Centralized Vendor management and established global policies, procedures and program management to ensure consistency in the execution and management of vendor across all of loan servicing.
Influenced large scale change initiatives for the largest mortgage servicing conversion in the industry. The overall conversion effort included 1.9M development hours, 102 projects, 336 control room shifts, 225k scripts, impacted 112 systems and conversion 14M mortgages.
Collaborated and implemented a companywide project management methodology and the creation of a new process improvement culture translating to hundreds of millions in savings over a few years.
