As a graduate of Medical School in East Africa, Ethiopia, I had more than10 years experiences working in a medical field. I have had the chance to work in various specialties as a GMP (General Medical Practitioner). In General Surgery specialties, I have worked both as an assistant for surgeons and at the same time, I personally performed various minor surgical procedures. In EM specialty, I have worked in the out patient department treating many trauma, acute medical, OBGY, pediatric cases; and in Internal Medicine department, I have worked in the inpatient and out patient departments in the care and management of patients with various organ-system ailments. Additionally, during one year (2015) of my clinical rotations as a Physician Assistant in USA, I have practiced medicine and patient care in different specialties. As a brief reminder of my expertise:

Taking thorough history, doing physical examinations, ordering pertinent diagnostic tests and interpreting them and maintaining medical records.

Preparing preoperative patients, evaluating and monitoring postop patients.

Evaluating surgical patients and assisting doctors in surgical procedures as well as pre and post-surgery patient care. I have had the opportunity to assist both high and low risk surgical patients including emergency cases.

Carrying out pre and post-surgical procedures like inserting chest tubes, Foley Catheter, IV-lines, wound closure, etc and removing tubes, Catheter, staples at appropriate time.
