Union Maritime Ltd

Union Maritime Limited is a UK based owner and operator of chemical tankers. The company runs a fleet of tankers focusing on the clean petroleum products trade in West Africa, as well as a number of tankers trading in the international markets. Ship Manager – Operations (2011 June – 2015 August) I have 4 years of experience in ship operations (Tankers). Coordinate daily Shipping activities and maintain working relationship with business stakeholders, partners, shippers and customers.

Duties

Assisting the Management with all vessel operations and support, ensuring that vessels crewing, operations and maintenance are in accordance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and client requirements

Actively involved in tanker operations in WAF region and operating more than 20 oil tanker vessels in WAF region

Maintaining daily contact with vessels, coordinating and reporting vessels movement

Successfully coordinated and executed 7-8 STS operations in one day (more than 650 STS operations in a year) without any delays and as per safety guidelines.

Responsible for managing entire Cargo operations (STS) and personnel on Vessel.

Liaising with purchasing department

Coordinate operations and liaise with vessel, agents, STS provider, charterers, technical and other parties.

Liaising with port Managers

Provided agency and support services to vessels calling Nigerian ports. Liaised with owners, managers, ship's crew and port authorities to ensure efficient operations.

Coordinating offshore operations, sending voyage instructions to vessels

Liaising with Major companies on clearing MR vessels

Involved in the analysis and monitoring of operational data to ensure potential problems are averted.

Provide guidance to Masters and general management on any special requirements.
