12/94-present Contractor consultant- Location: Northern Indiana (Multiple sites). Netview Systems installation of wireless routers, satellite video hookups for Netview clients. Independent consultant for various individuals/businesses in NW Indiana for a variety of projects (on-going) including installation of Rightfax/Blackberry Enterprise Server/various spam/anti-virus appliances. Development of database applications using a variety of DB/SQL servers using LAMP stack (Foxpro, Postgresql, and MYSQL). Currently in design phase for quote and web store (including data port of catalog of items to be sold in Postgresql in mirror configuration). Perform sys admin tasks on various operating systems as required (Windows server, Mac OS X, and Linux). Also using various types of SANs/NAS such as EMC, Promise, and roll your own for appropriate tasks primarily connected via fibre channel and/or TCP/IP (iSCSI). Primary for backup implementation, configuration, and verification using Backup Exec, NetBackup, and Arcserve (plus others) for over 20 yrs.

03/15-6/15 Consultant Ar-en Party Favors. Skokie,IL – Split LAMP stack to multiple servers and document all steps as required for on-going operation. LDAP back to domain server for access.

03/14-09/14 Contractor consultant –ALKU System administrator for Advanced Disposal – project for movement of servers from Milwaukee, WI. To Jacksonville, FL. with OS upgrades and upgrades of applications being moved from Win2K/2k3 server to Win 2008-12R2 server and SQL server 2000/5 to SQL server 2008 primarily via VMWare. Support of Kronos/ADP during move. Create infrastructure servers as needed for test and QA, application servers for Citrix and Xenapps,web servers (IIS) for internal and external applications, define network shares for applications, and security group creation for applications. Approximately 300 servers of which 75-100 were for Citrix). Review the possible use of Thinapps in conjuction with Citrix (no determination made at this time for deployment due to budget constrains). This included documentation for future deployments of all applications and rollout of Lync messaging. LDAP configuration for UNIX servers as needed.

11/13-3/14 Contractor consultant - BMO Harris server roll-out and decommissioning of old server covering NW Indiana branch locations. I was primary contact for hardware issues during roll-out.

01/12-09/12 Contractor Consultant – Praire Material; System administrator Bridgeview,IL – Updates to Active directory schema, help desk level 2, and installation/initial setup of Solarwinds for network/server monitoring. Troubleshooting Citrix, XenApps, VMWare 4.0-5.1, server migrations, scripting and Exchange 2003/2010 setup, Lync instant messaging setup with Exchange, Blackberry Enterprise Server support/configuration, Sharepoint configuration and support, Rightfax support/configuration and upgrading, clustering for VMWare and MSSQL server, Cisco hardware configuration configuration for remote locations. Kronos/ADP support for all locations.

10/10- 10/11 Contractor consultant – IBM Global services Remote Location. transition/transformation team. Engineering/installation/migration of servers to a hosted environment, including use/configuration of Vsphere/VMWare 3-5, building, configuration, and administration of servers using win2k-win2k8 and Redhat/SUse, Exchange 2007 configuration and troubleshooting. Installation of Tivoli/BigFix software for server monitoring/updates. SAN layouts for client usage from different vendors (EMC, IBM, HP, and others). This is for clients with 10,000 or more servers per move and would take approximately 6 months to a year from start to finish per client (done in stages) and included all sorts of servers (including web (IIS) and ftp).

2/08-4/09 CGI Contractor-System Administrator- Location: OCE North America, Chicago,IL.. Server installation, upgrading, and administration both Windows 2000/3/8 Server and SuSe Linux (plus others); responsibilities included backups both locally and remote locations, SOX reporting and monitoring, network monitoring and reporting, Lync support, Blackberry Enterprise Server support/ configuration and upgrades, installation of MSSQL server and Exchange 2003 (including clustering and fall-over), configuration and tuning of SAN (EMC), advanced desktop support, and use of Active Directory for adding/ deleteing/ changing users, groups, computers, servers, printers. Configuration of Linux servers to use LDAP authentication. Monitoring of critical applications and server status for forewarning of overloading of server(s) using Snare and Orion Solarwinds. Development of scripts for various functions within the company. Number of servers responsible for was approximately 250 including migration of servers to Vmware (ESX).

2/06-11/07 IBM Contractor-System Administrator – Location ABN/AMRO (Lasalle Bank) Chicago Loop. configuration, & administration Windows NT4/W2K/2K3 server, Mac OS X server, and RedHat/SuSE Linux (enterprise versions);/VMWare 3-4 usage for creation of server/desktop images for use by sales force; installation/ configuration of Lotus Domino (Notes) Server/ Apache (IBM) web server/ FTP server.
