Responsibilities

Provide 3rd level support for the Switching division team that covered the clients and service providers from EMEA region.

Replicate customer issues in the JTAC lab for in depth analysis.

Work together with the Development team in order to identify and fix bugs or to offer workarounds to our customers.

Accomplishments

In a short period of time I have obtained two Juniper certifications(JNCIA and JNCIS) and I have managed to master several Juniper switching platforms like EX,QFX and QFabric

In order to be able to replicate the customers environment and network issues we had to use traffic generators like IxNetwork and IxLoad and also to develop bash scripting skills as Junos is a FreeBSD based

One of the most important accomplishment that I have had during my period on Juniper was the good feedback that I have received from the customers for whom I worked.

During the time spent in Vodafone I have learned and master several telecom technologies like 2G, 3G and 4G and their implementation for different vendor platforms like Nokia, Huawei, and Nortel. Besides these technologies

I have also obtained knowledge of transmission systems like PDH and SDH together with their implementation for Nokia and Siae vendors.

Given the fact that I was part of the team that offered maintenance and troubleshooting services for the Vodafone Italy network I have had to learn the Italian language as all the applications and all the communication with the field engineers was in Italian.

Another important accomplishment that I have obtained during my time in this company was making a quality troubleshooting in a very short period of time as most of our incidents required a fast resolution and engagement of the appropriate team to resolve the issue.
