PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
COMPANY: Accenture Philippines
CLIENT: American Express
ROLE: Business Analyst (BA)
FROM July 2010 – November 2011 (Arizona, USA)
December 2012 to June 2015 (Manila, Philippines)
I was part of an end-to-end project management team where we drive and manage cross functional IT projects across different locations in the entire lifecycle of the project. The projects mostly cover changes to business and system processes and credit card functionalities (e.g. fees).
My responsibilities as a BA are as follows:
Drive discussions with business sponsors to document the business requirements and translate these business requirements to use cases and process flows using Microsoft Visio or Powerpoint.
Identify the impacts of the business requirements to the application teams and architects and aid in developing the corresponding functional requirements.
Together with the Test Manager, I ensure test data are prepared and test scripts are generated for execution. I also monitor the test status and escalate any test issues especially related to the requirements.
Arrange timeline for implementation. Monitor all tasks during implementation are completed and system is up and running as designed. Execute post implementation validations as required.
Assist in project management. Ensure the project is on time, timeline per phase are met, escalate risks and issues and ensure project meets the standards and processes.
In general, I ensure documentations per phase of the projects are delivered and approvals/sign offs are provided. Majority of the projects I’ve handled involved mainframe and Oracle BPM developments, using Sharepoint for document management, HP Quality Center for test management and report generation and DB2 SQL for accounts validation and manipulation during test.
I also serve as BA and Test Manager at the same time for simple to moderate complexity projects, allowing enough time to fulfill both roles.
