My experience comprises of Project Management, Integrated Community Development (ICD) Designing of Livelihood Activities, Facilitation of big projects at national level. Project: Livelihood through Livestock Development,Central & State Govt. Of India.

Project Planning and Management: Leading a monitoring team of 150 members under Livestock (Livelihood) Development Project.

Community Mobilization: Working at the field level directly with the community. Overall responsible for implementation of Project in the assigned cluster of villages.

Overseeing effective implementation of livelihood improvement program for rural folks under “Cattle Breeds Improvement Programm (CBIP)” supported by The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Govt of Haryana.

Embedding Monitoring and Evaluation of Programs:

Providing technical assistance in the designing of new/revision of current programs, especially on baseline assessments, monitoring and evaluation plans. Overseeing the dissemination of key program and monitoring data. Developing and embedding system to track the collection, review, and use of monitoring data.

Managing production of upgrading/crossbreed cattle with better genetic make up for higher productivity resulting in enhanced milk production without any additional cost to the farmers.

Giving guidelines to the farmers to improve animal husbandry practices.

Achievement:

Conducted various skill development programs related to Livestock Development Program (21 district), rural entrepreneurship development program for unemployed youths in Haryana,Punjab and Rajasthan.

Established 1145 Livestock Development centers under “CBIP” in 21 districts of Haryana.

Organized an event “ MURRAH ON RAMP” at Jind district in the month of Feb. 2012 under “Artificial Insemination” strengthening program promotion followed by 10,000 farmers which was inaugurated by Honorable Ag. Minister Sharad Pawar, Mr. Bhupendra Singh Hooda and other state officials.It was the first of its kind when a“MURRAH”(Buffalo Breed) was on ramp in India.

Project: Non Conventional Energy Project,UNDP.

Ensuring community participation through formation and strengthening of Self Help Groups.

Conducting Awareness Generation camps.

Initiating income generation activities to stop migration from the villages.

Reduction of dependency on the forest for fuel, fodder and other requirements.

Implementing various infrastructure development programs.

Implementation of total sanitation program- Construction of rural toilets and awareness program for use of toilets.

Preparation and Documentation of monthly reports and monitoring formats.

Solar cooker promotion, Biogas etc.

Achievement:

With the intervention made by CSS and me, community dependants on forest for fuel and fodder was reduced by half in the winters and more than the in summers. The introduction of Bio-Gas plant as an alternative has been able to save wood per year within the users.

35 demonstration units of stoves were constructed under my guidelines.

Identified 3 entrepreneurs, trained in the construction of energy efficient, improved stoves for exposure of biogas plants. Out of which 56 barges were constructed under my guidance.

Project: Sir Ratan TATA Trust Livelihood Development Project, Rattan Tata Trust.

Designing of curriculum and implementation of livelihood program on Self Help Group, aimed specifically for the people of the villages. This included training of local people as a Trainer in the Program.

Organizing Awareness Generation camps. Sustainable Livelihood Creation, Rejuvenating the Resource Base. Promoting Livelihood Enterprises,Upgrading Village Infrastructure.

Activating Watersheds, Rejuvenation of Wastelands, Enhancing Farm Productivity.

Setting up Livelihoods related meetings /maintaining minutes and follow up tasks.

Preparation of monthly progress report,annual report, MIS, case studies and process Documentation for activities. Developing various farm and non farm livelihood enterprise, developing marketing strategy and establishing bank linkages.

Development of MIS for SHGs, strengthening, monitoring of SHGs and linking them with micro enterprise development.

Evaluation study on the status of SHGs and micro-enterprise development.

Feasibility study for the implementation of Livelihood generation program.

Achievement:

Established 10 CBRE shop (Community Based Retail Enterprise) centers for 300 SHGs members at block level [Which was run & managed by community based organization].

Managed to facilitate loan from State Bank of India and other banks to establish a “Milk Dairy”. The NGO is selling 20,000 liters worth of milk daily.

Managed team of 5 persons per block level federation (CBOs) along with recruitment and selection.

Managed Over 100 Self Help Group (SHG) Women Members linked with entrepreneurial activities like Jute bag making, Making wax article, stationery item, paper plate and Incense Stick making, Food processing [MAKAHANA] etc.

Facilitated livelihood through Nursery development for vegetables and forestry spices in various districts of Uttarakhand.
