May ’14 – Feb ‘16 VMware Ireland
Position: Inside Territory Executive
At VMWare I was an Inside Territory Executive selling the full range of VMWare products and services into the Scotland Territory. Aligned with a field based exec, I was responsible for meeting a target of $2m per quarter. Working opportunities from discovery to close I was tasked daily with managing pipeline and reporting on SFDC, qualifying deal registrations and Leads and seeking new business. For 2014 I achieved 110% of target against managed partner accounts and for 2015 I achieved 113% of target for my territory.
I was the Team Leader for the UK&I Internal GB unit, a position I was promoted to less than a year after joining the company. In my second full quarter at Vmware I was named MVP for UK& I GB.
July ’11 – May ‘14 Dell Software
Position: Inside Sales Account Manager (Virtualization Monitoring).
At Dell Software I was an Inside Sales Account Manager for the Virtualization Monitoring BU (vFoglight). The role encompassed all management of the sales cycle for a specific set of software tools from end to end.
In Q3 of 2013 I closed the biggest deal in the history of the Dell Software Cork office with one of the world’s largest financial institutions. The Global ELA solution managed a worldwide estate of 90+ data centres and the total value was in excess of $1.5 million (average deal size for the product set is $30,000). I was responsible for this deal over the course of 15 months from identifying this opportunity to negotiating and closing the deal as well as following up with services opportunities.
In 2013 I was the leading rep in our sales office in excess of 250% of annual target.
During my time at Dell Software I was Rep. of the Quarter on two occasions.
July ’10 – July 11 Elfotec Technology
Position: Field Sales Executive
Elfotec Technology is a world leader in the manufacture and distribution of compatible toner for Photocopiers and Laser Printers. The role was split into two sectors; domestic and global. In Ireland, I was field based selling directly to copier dealers. On a Global scale I sold to distributors in over 30 countries across 5 continents, office based with quarterly international travel.

Position: Field Sales Executive.
Prim-Ed is a leading supplier of technology to the Education and Business sector. I was responsible for all aspects of sales to schools and business. I was tasked with meeting prospective customers to demonstrate equipment and negotiate sales.
Jan ’08 – Sep ‘08 M2 Office Supplies
Position: Ricoh Field Sales Executive.
At M2 I was responsible for all aspects of Ricoh Photocopier sales and print contracts. This involved developing new business as well as maintaining existing accounts, meeting with key stakeholders on-site and managing opportunities from discovery to close.
Jan ’00 – Jan ‘08 Dell Inc.
Position: Focalpoint Technical Specialist.
Focalpoint is the Dell Customer Experience Centre. Working with Dell account managers, we hosted visits from Dell’s corporate customers. Visitors included existing customers, development accounts and acquisition opportunities.

I am VSP certified in Server Virtualization, Network Virtualization, Business Continuity, Management Operations, Mobility, SDS and Hybrid.
I have completed numerous sales training courses throughout my career including Sandler Advanced, Frontline and Situational Negotiation Sales Training.
I also have extensive training in presentation skills.
Hobbies / Interests
I have a keen interest in most sports, particularly Rugby, Soccer and Water-Sports.
I am also interested in the Media and formerly wrote a weekly column for a London newspaper covering rugby in Ireland.
