Roles and Responsibilities:
My roles and responsibilities are as follows: -
DFM Analysis Preparation
BOM scrub & set BOM/AVL data against Valor Parts Library for validation.
Creating component package using VLM (Valor Library Manager) in accordance to the mechanical dimension given in the datasheet.
VLM provides full functionality for definition of component parts and packages.
Combining with manufacturing data (CAD, BOM, etc.) to perform a comprehensive assembly DFM analysis, such as BOM validation.
VPL creation and validation:
Catch packages inconsistency using VPL validation before the actual assembly.
DFM Analysis, including:
Fiducial Analysis
Component Analysis.
Pad stack Analysis.
Pin to Pad Analysis.
Component Engineering:
MPN Validation
PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
BOM creation and scrubbing
Validating Engineering Change Orders and New Product Introduction lines
Work with aerospace, automotive, defense, telecom and consumer electronic outlines and hardware packages
Define automotive requirements – PPAP approval and AEC qualification
Approve components based on JEDEC standards
Verify component compliance to RoHS and REACh standards
Suggest alternates according to electronic requirement and track PCN
Valor VPL Creation.
Creating package library and releasing the Work instructions for Process, Test, Assembly, box build and Packing.
Done an Internal kaizen workshop for cycle time reduction for package creation in DFM process
Preparation of documents like SOP, SOW, QCL, control plan as per QMS requirements
Knowledge on FMEA, CAPA, Pareto, 5Y analysis, Fish bone diagram.
