Worked in various management and quality positions. Department Lead person and a department supervisor for manufacturing facility and supervisor and quality engineer in a distribution facility. Worked in automotive industry producing oil, air, fuel filters.

02/2012 to 08/2014.
Quality Engineer at the Wix Filters Master Distribution Center. Responsible for quality management and adhering to quality standards for in-coming product and customer product. I have experience dealing with the facilities in China, Mexico, Poland and Brazil with their quality issues and concerns. Received recognition and raise from company president in February 2014 for the level of job performance.
06/2003 to 02/2012.
Supervisor at the main Wix Filters shipping facility, MDC. Managed 50 to 60 team members in seven different departments. Coordinated receiving and shipping in the facility during shift operations. Worked with production facilities. The second shift group was the least experienced and had the larger temporary group. This situation helped me to build my management skills.
05/2000 to 06/2003.
Department supervisor at the main Wix Filters production facility in Gastonia, NC. Working directly with production lines and management. Responsible for team members on all three shifts in a fabrication parts warehouse. Responsible for an offsite warehouse. During this time the company shutdown a facility in Kansas City and moved their operation to Gastonia. I assisted in moving the in-process parts to the main facility and the offsite facility.
06/1999 to 05/2000.
Supervisor at the main Wix shipping facility, MDC. Responsible for receiving and shipping in this facility. Worked directly with production facilities. Responsible for 27 to 30 team members during this time. Had just been placed into the new Wix Supervisor Training Course and promoted to this position.
06/1986 to 06/1999.
Lead Person at the main manufacturing facility for Wix Filters in Gastonia, NC. Responsible for receiving and issuing fabricated parts to production lines. Responsible for delivering and receiving fabricated parts to other facilities during third shift operations by driving a tractor and trailer to these facilities. This position was in the Ready Room. Eventually this department and the Stockroom were combined on the third shift and I was responsible for both departments.
03/1981 to 06/1986.
Started at Wix Filters as a locator. Responsible for receiving and issuing fabricated parts for the production lines. Worked directly with the production departments and management.
Professional Skills
CDL Class A license, reactivated on 8/28/2015. Took driver refresher course between 10/12/15 and 10/16/15 in Hudson, NC. Drove from 1986 to 1999. License forklift operator.
Education
Graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
