Dimensional Engineer/ Engineer II- 2012 to Present

International Automotive Components (IAC), Southfield, Michigan – Responsible for dimensional project improvements on automotive components and system geometry through part, gage, tooling and design actions. Work with integration/plant/launch team members to analyze complex parts and sub-assemblies, including door and trim systems, instrument panels, consoles, cockpits and flooring as well as complex tooling and gages using various measurement systems. Primary responsibilities include:

Perform upfront dimensional processes and negotiating with OEM in regards to new projects and programs.

Conduct tolerance stack analysis for validation and feasibility of customer requirements and DTS assuring IAC production capabilities are optimized and implemented in product development.

Review math data to create GD&T, sub-component GD&T and identify special and critical characteristics as related to fit and function.

Implementation of datum strategies as it relates to gage development and use.

Create measurement point strategies and measurement collection plans for process validation and development.

Support and participate in IAC plant data procurement, perform analytical assessments and create corrective action plans.

Apply capability data against customer tolerance requests and submit final PPAP documentation.

Develop tolerance dispute rational for negotiating OEM change and sign-offs if required for PPAP.

Project Coordinator– Worked closely with the community, the developer, other design professionals and the local permitting authorities to provide all aspects of the design, plan production, appropriate agency approvals and permits, cost estimates, office support for surveying and contract administration.

Crossroads Village, Canton Township- Regional Retail Development approximately 48 acres, consisting of Target and Kohl’s along with several other buildings. Project Coordinator– Worked closely with the developer, future tenants, construction managers, other design professionals and the local permitting authorities to provide all design, plan production, agency approvals and permits, budget formulation, cost estimates, contract administration and construction consultation. Entitlement services included Target CPR meetings and Kohl’s review process.

Community Financial Credit Union, Canton Township- Branch Office approximately 4 acres, including MDEQ permit application preparation. Project Coordinator– Worked closely with the developer, construction managers, other design professionals to provide all design, plan production, appropriate agency approvals and permits, monitoring schedules and costs, contract administration and construction consultation.
