Systemax, Miami FL Business Analyst/Technical Writer III 03/2013 to 01/2016

Initially contracted to, then hired permanently by a Fortune 1000 company to create Wiki documentation support for developers, BAs, project managers and marketing, and to provide BA services for IT department:

§As the sole technical writer, created numerous Wiki pages addressing API and other processes involved in the effective e-marketing of products in the company’s flagship business.

§Interviewed various business and IT staff to create complete a 100+ Wiki page based documentation set for PCI DSS compliance requirements, which is used as the bases for all companies in the corporate group.

§Worked closely with developers, BAs, PMOs, Business Intelligence, e-Commerce and Marketing to obtain details required to create these API and internal software Wiki pages.

§As a BA, created BRD and FSD for business to implement a unique pay method to corporate websites and maintained ongoing statistics for business to monitor program effectiveness, making various recommendations to maintain and improve new multi-million dollar Bitcoin customer base.

Contracted to and assigned on a three month contract to a $10B assets financial services company with the following duties:

§Working as part of a team of three technical writers/BAs, reviewed and edited over 40 policy and procedure documents to meet compliance standards.

§Converted over 20 documents from PDF images to Word documents using One Note.

IPC, Miami FL Technical Writer/Trainer 08/2009–09/2012

IPC is responsible for procuring all of the SUBWAY® food, packaging, equipment and services for the ~30,000 QSR restaurants in the US and Canada through negotiating price, supply, and distribution terms. IPC developed a world-class POS system in an AGILE environment for the SUBWAY® brand.

As the sole technical writer on this project my duties included, but were not limited to:

§Created individual step-by-step process guides for each POS function.

§Created comprehensive 120 page Users Manual.

§Created Show-Me videos with voice-overs for each of the process guides.

§Created a brochure style Quick Start Guide for Managers and one for Cashiers.

§Performed daily online training demos on all aspects of POS via WebEx.

§Presented and cultivated senior management to accept a concept to improve the communication, problem solving, prioritizing and decision making process in the AGILE environment.

§With the support of the CIO, I initiated and undertook a project to incorporate a new set of analytical tools to improve the Situation Appraisal, Problem Solving and Decision Making functions within the AGILE environment at IPC. I arranged for 21 employees to be trained and begin implementing these skills from Kepner-Tregoe, quickly improving the efficiency in many departments.

Contracted to a $40M private financial and mortgage company, and assigned on a three month contract with the following duties:

§Working with financial audit advisors and the IT Security Manager, interviewed approximately ninety IT process holders to prepare documents to meet ISO financial standards.

§Wrote high level process descriptions and produced flowcharts for each process.

§Edited an additional 13 existing documents to ensure they meet ISO and compliance standards, creating flowcharts for each document.
