Sarah Brun, résumé/CV page 2/4

Specific area: Managing communication (AFDX, CAN) between Air Conditioning System controller and other aircraft external systems, and system monitoring functionality, fault reporting (Aircraft maintenance system).

Quickly ramped up and organized the team to turn around a group facing difficulties to successfully meet an increasingly aggressive schedule and raise the level of quality in team output. Established more rigor in the management of activities and the quality of solutions to problem reports. Re-established communication with the larger team and all external players, in a challenging global environment with important players located in India

- Review and resolution of open problem report for Software certification (DO-178B). Review of problem functional impact on aircraft (effect on function, Safety, Pilot, Flight Crew or Maintenance personnel awareness).

- Software Requirement Specification for design changes, for either new functionalities or problem report fixes . Combination of team oversight/review and direct design.

- Requirements management and traceability review (ARP-4754)

- Prioritization of work and disposition of problem reports for each Software release, in collaboration with customer (Airbus).

Mar 08 – Apr 2013 Systems Team technical lead – Electronic Controls Integration Bench (eCIB) for the Airbus A350 Extended Mechanical System Perimeter (EMSP) Set-up, from the ground up, and led all activities for preparation, execution, analysis, disposition and follow-up of Hardware in the Loop testing of all integrated controllers/systems of the EMSP, including Pneumatic, Anti-icing, Air Conditioning, Cabin Pressure Control, and APU, leading and coaching a team of 8 engineers.

- Established initial test planning and on-going update. Wrote comprehensive Test Plan document, encompassing all aspects of testing. Test templates became a benchmark for other teams on the program.

- Set-up a customized and comprehensive logging and reporting database/toolset, from the ground up, integrating all aspects of testing (test execution, problem reporting and change management) allowing quick, accurate and rigorous monitoring of all test activities. Successfully led the entire team to use it consistently and ensured rigorous configuration management of all items relating to test facility and test execution.

- Prioritized all activities, using specialized knowledge of integrated aircraft ECS systems and overall program understanding, allowing to meet accelerated schedule in spite of extreme project and team challenges.

- Reported regularly to internal and external customers. Sep-04-Mar 08 Control Systems Engineer (On contract initially then employee) F35 - Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) – Power and Thermal Management System (PTMS)
