Responsibilities in Construction and Engineering were as follows:
Engineering Phase :
Carrying out the Design for the (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing) systems in compliance with the relevant standard such as (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, NPC, HTM ).
Carrying out the Mechanical calculation with using the relevant software such as :
Cooling load
Hydraulic Calculation
ESP Calculation for the fans, AHU, FCU

developing the shop drawings, preparing material submittals, procuring all materials, Preparing variation orders, Preparation of BOQs for all the mechanical systems ( HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Medical Gas)
Prepare schedule of work / Bill of Material and float the enquiries for subcontract works/ Materials /Systems as per the contract specifications and drawings
Evaluate / review the offers form the suppliers / subcontractors against the project spec’s and finalize the purchase orders/ contracts with them .
Supervise Procurement process and give the technical advice in term of material and equipment selection according to the project Specs and schedule of equipment’s.
Follow up the material / subcontractors submittal approval with consultant on time
Submit RFI’S to the Designer for the unclear issues in the Design.
Produce sufficient data for Variation Orders and timely communicate to client in coordination with General Manager / Contract / Estimation section
Resolve technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Liaising with the BMS subcontractor to identify all the points needs to be controlled or monitored by BMS And illustrating the sequence of operation for all the Mechanical Equipment’s
Leading the testing and commission process for all the mechanical systems and coordinate efficiently with Testing and balancing subcontractor to rectify any site observation raised by them.
Doing a proper coordination with electrical division to ensure that all the electrical requirements related to the Mechanical Systems are provided.
Ensuring that all information / drawings are issued / conveyed to the site in a proper manner and details produced are in compliance to the requirement
Controlling the material selection and the commercial process to get the MIR approval as per the project material SPCs
prepare comprehensive builder’s works drawings with coordination with electrical and structure teams
Prepare Handing over Documents such as “As-Built Drawings" and O & M Manuals.
Liaising with the local authorities and submitting all the drawings and documents required for civil defense inspection
Construction Phase:
Manage on-site the (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Medical Gas systems) construction activities to ensure that the project is completed on schedule, within budget and in accordance with specifications. and Inspect construction site to check conformance with approved schedules.
Ensuring that the installation of all mechanical trade is being implemented according to the approved shop drawings and the method statement and in compliance with the relevant standard and manufacturer recommendations
Securing and ensuring the availability of the materials prior to start any installation activity and issue material requisition if missing material are found.
Manage and Monitor Sub-contractors at each stage of the work to ensure proper compliance with all technical aspects of the contract through both individual contacts and co-ordination meetings.
Provide technical clearance and guidance and assign work responsibilities to subordinates such as site engineers / Supervisors/site foremen
Ensuring that the quality of material and installation of works are in accordance with the acceptance criteria, specifications, approved materials and methods of installation approved for the project.
Reviewing and develop works/installation program with planning department.
Coordinate with the other divisions to resolve any coordination problem on site might face the installation process. .
Plan and supervise the major functions of the construction which include the responsibility for the planning and co- ordination of all manpower and equipment, materials supplies, and sub-contracted services, towards the proper completion of the work on schedule with approved drawings, specifications, cost and quality limitations.
Reviews all Method Statements for the installation of (HVAC, Fire Fighting &Plumbing ) systems
Ensuring that services provisions clearance (builder Work opening) for mechanical work are provided in Time of structure/ casting the concrete.
Interface with client representatives, architect representatives, subcontractors, and other disciplines to discuss plus resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
Optimization of resources (manpower and Material).
Liaising with the medical equipment’s subcontractor in term of mechanical requirements to the medical equipment’s
Planning of the work, scheduling the tasks as per priority.
Getting client/Consultant approval for materials, drawing and work execution.
Close coordination with internal and external stack holders.
