Split duties:

TSM Architect. Have built over 10 TSM Servers and tailored environments to suit needs in zones/locations.

Backup & Recovery Team Lead. Install and manage filesystem and database backups (Oracle/SAP/Lotus Notes/MSSQL/DB2) on Solaris/HP-UX/AIX/Linux and Windows platforms in over 15 24x7 World Wide “Lights Out” data centers

Serve as the main focal contact for assigning all team tickets.

Leader for all SAP and Oracle TSM TDP backup installations.

Commercial Zone creator and owner for backups and restores.

Write extensive amounts of technical documentation for ISO9000 accountability.

Design B&R system architecture and document data disaster recovery procedure, both inside and outside of owned locations.

Oracle DBA/Unix System Administrator

Started as the Swing Shift Team Manager for the Tier III Operations Support Center in a small start-up company (employee number thirteen). Managed a team of seven on the second shift of a 24x7 monitoring support group, providing scheduling, hiring, and training of all team members.

Assisted with composing and writing of SLA’s for customers, as well as laying out the ground rules for the new Operations Center.

Promoted to an Oracle DBA position after the Operations Support Center setup was established. Performed maintenance, modifications, back-ups and restores of nine production Oracle databases for a Citicorp project: four were on HP 9000's, three were on Sun Netras, and two were on NT. Performed daily DB health checks.

Migrated versions of Oracle from 8.0.4, 8.0.5 and 8.0.6 to 8.1.5 and 8.1.6 on both NT and Unix: 36 total instances, two were Oracle Parallel Server instances on HP 9000’s.

Assisted with mail server issues (backups/problems/managing users).

Set up and ran production level backups using Veritas NetBackup.

CyberCash, Inc., Mar 1996 to Jan 2000

Network Operations Center Manager

Managed nine network operators and eight cross-trainees from the customer service and second level tech support groups on a 24x7 schedule.

Wrote and maintained all documentation for NOC operators.

Maintained the internal web site for the network operations group.

Trained all NOC operators and customer service reps on Unix basics, system architecture, and escalation procedures.
