Responsibilities
As ATE Engineer (from May’13 – till date)
Analysis of schematic diagrams, developing Net-list.It involved driving input signals, sensing output signals and converting hardware language in to software language for further programming.
Development of graphical programming in Q-max Test Director-6 for the printed circuit boards (PCB) considering the time constraints of all the IC’s mounted on that particular board.
In-circuit testing (ICT) & Functional Testing of PCBs mounted on different systems.
Boundary Scan testing using JTAG by placing in a chain sequence and perform external testing
Organizing all the IC’s having boundary scan facility and placing it in a chain sequence to perform external testing.
Testing the PCB’s with various combinations of analog, digital & mixed signal devices.
As Graduate Apprentice Trainee (from Dec’12 – Apr’13)
-Trained on BFSR (Battle Field Surveillance Radar) project under the Military Radar SBU (Strategic Business Unit).
-Dealt with assembling a unit comprising of RF trans-receiver, RF power amplifier, RF Receiver Exciter Module along with ADSP modules to detect an object on the horizontal ground surface.
-Gained working knowledge about usage of power sensors, attenuators, spectrum analyzers, supply jigs, power generators and pulse or signal generators
-Undertook generation of TMR (Test Measurement Record) along with customer offerings.
-Provided timely calibration of instruments along with loss measurements and their compensation as well
ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP
Company: BOSCH
Remote monitoring of UPS parameters (Temperature and Humidity)
Jan’12 - May ’12
Objective: Monitor temperature and humidity parameters to prevent accidents and damages to UPS systems.
Requirement Description:
-Project required monitoring UPS electrical parameters along with temperature and humidity using devices compatible to RS-485 communication protocol.
-The proposed pilot system was expected to simultaneously monitor many UPS systems from a centralized location with the help of repeaters (which reduce the connecting distance between two devices)
My role in the Project:
-Understand and evaluate the RS-485 communication protocol as an alternative to RS-232 and analyse sensors compatible to RS-485.
-Liaise with service engineers to understand the basic working details of UPS systems and the SNMP card.
-Practically monitored the humidity and temperature parameters for the entire UPS system setup at BOSCH.
-Presented the experimental findings through a chart, highlighting various cut off ranges and were loaded on to the alarm set up box
