The Walgreen Company is the largest drug retailing chain in the United States. The company operates 8,300 stores in all 50 states of the United States of America. It was founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1901. Walgreens’ headquarters are in the Chicago suburb of Deerfield, Illinois.

Project Description

This project involved the testing of both desktop based and web applications. With over 8000+ stores in the U.S, Walgreens establishes contact between one store and another or between one store's database which is the local database to the central database which contains the data of all of its stores. This flow of data between its local and central databases and the data synchronization between the two databases describes the testing foundation of this project.

The web based applications which are connected to the central database also are involved as part of the testing in the central database of which the "Master Prescriber" project is the one that integrates all the details of any prescriber in the U.S.

Summary of Project Experience:

Core resource in “Master Prescriber” Project which was one of the largest projects implemented in the history of Walgreens

Implementation of Risk Based Testing and Orthogonal Array Testing approach.

Point of contact and the lead analyst for a team of 16 to 18.

Established Defect coordinator for the entire team.

Implementation of the Skill matrix to better align resources to a project according to the individual’s skill set.

Experience with the Selenium framework to automate tests.
