Senior Design
Motion Tracking Optic
Created a Motion Tracking Optic that is able to track a moving target at a specified distance by automatically adjusting the windage as the optic moves.
Used microcontroller to allow for input from a 3-Axis gyroscope which can calculate the angular change in the rifle as the operator follows the target.
Through the use of a stepper motor and a gear train, the microcontroller is able to convert these calculations to degree measurements using code which is sent to the motor which in turn can adjust the optic accordingly.
