WORK EXPERIENCE
Research Intern- UT-SouthWestern, Medical Centre. August 2015-Ongoing
Developing Rotational Model for Traumatic Brain Injuries for the experiments on rodents. I have designed and manufactured this model which is in working stage. This research is contribution towards the brain injuries that we face during auto accidents and in sports. Football players are more subject to this kind of concussion. The model that we have developed replicates the impact scenario.
Design Engineer- Tata Technologies Ltd., Pune, India July 2011 – Aug 2014
I worked on Nano (CNG & Diesel), Vista FL & Indica FL with ERC center of Tata Motors Ltd. I was responsible to provide digital feedback through analysis and simulation for these automobiles.
Key Accomplishments
Stage drawing creation for crankshaft, cylinder head & cylinder block for Nano Diesel and CNG in Pro-E.
Virtual Process Planning (Assembly Line simulations) for Vista LHD for Venezuela CKD project in Delmia V5
Designed BIW fixture modifications to accommodate Indica FL and Vista FL in existing line.
Designed new BIW line for modular platform concept in Delmia V5
Robot weld spot simulation in DelmiaV5
Migration of assemblies from RobCad to Delmia V5
Operator ergonomic analysis in Delmia V5 (RULA scores)
Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) validations
Poka-Yoke,Fixtures and Jigs modifictaions and implementations
GD & T of BIW panels in VisView.
Design for lean manufacturing & Six Sigma
Design of plastic molding brackets and attachments.
CO- Founder- Wisefellas Automation and Robotics July 2010 – May 2011
As a lead engineer of our new foundation, we succesfully designed and fabricated automated vertical & horizontal drilling jigs of motorhousing for DRE DieCasting firm.
Intern -DRE Casting Firm, Ahmadabad. April 2010 – June 2010
Detail designed a Tilt Pouring Aluminum Die Casting machine in Pro_E for DRE die casting designing unit.
Tilt pouring machine is a hydraulically powered precision die casting machine which equips with advanced technologies of castings.
Strengths and Skills
Expertise with designing electro-mechanical systems.
Professional expertise in 3D CAD softwares Catia V5, Delmia, CreO, Inventor, Autocad, Solidworks, Teamcenter, VisView. Master of GSD(surface design) module of Catia V5.
Expert in Solidworks and Pro-E.
Compatible with the aspects of Machine Design, Dynamics of systems, Manufacturing Technologies (conventional & non conventional).
Experience with sheetmetal & Plastic parts design and manufacturing.
Acquitted with Labview,MATLAB,Simulink,RobCAD and C.
Compatible with basic machiing processes like grinding, turning, milling etc.
Acquitted in creation of BOM,PFD and Control charts.
Projects
Pressure –Force Sensor Assembly August 2015 – Till now
My graduation projects pertains to design and develop miniature finger force sensor array which can be used to sense 0-150 grams of load. This can be an effective breakthrough in sensing technology.
Motion Analysis of Robotic Human Arm- Digital Interface June 2015 – August 2015
I have done kinematic analysis of Robotic Human Arm in Solidwork through Motion Analysis
I have designed the robotic arm with the mechanism to rotate each joint of fingers.
We are simulating the conditions through the interface between LabView and Solidworks before implementing it on physical prototype with add on module SoftMotion.
Optimizing Cooling power in Dell Server R720 January 2015 – May 2015
We designed DELL R720 server in Ansys Icepak to optimize the cooling power of it. With the use of Baffle plates and modular PCBs concept, we were able to reduce the number of fans from 5 to 3.
Cooling Power can be reduced drastically if applied at data center level.
Unmanned Ground Vehicle (Certified) January 2015 – May 2015
As a part of academia, we designed and developed an Unmanned Vehicle to navigate through desired waypoints while avoiding the obstacles.
It was a six wheeled vehicle equipped with NUC, GPS, PixHawk, RoboClaw, Phidegts, Encoder, Camera, Sonar and Li-Poly Batteries.
UGV was able to make its own decision to reach the target with the use of computer vision. The platform was able to localize its position while mapping the surrounding area in real time.
We programmed the UGV in Matlab and Simulink to perform dead reckoning and image processing.
Team Leader - ABU ROBOCON 2011-National Winner August 2010 – August 2011
Designed and fabricated autonomous robots to complete given problem statement called “Loy Krathong”.
The robots were equipped with 3D sensors like KINECT which gave them their own mind to judge the vibrations and motions.
As a captain of a team of 18 students, I represented India in ABU- ROBOCON 2011 held at Bangkok, Thailand on August 28, 2011.
SEGWAY, Nirma University July 2010 – May 2011
Designed and developed low-cost SEGWAY (A Human Transporter) as a part of academia project.
This eco-friendly vehicle’s motion is controlled by the gyroscope while it was running through Brushless motors.
Designed a gear box unit to reduce its speed by 1/3 which gave it maximum speed of 40Kmph.
Aluminum structure made it light weight and robust with universal joint between its steering handle and base.
We used Pro-E and Pro-Mechanica for design and analysis of its structure.
Tata Technologies Ltd., Pune. March 2012– April 2013
Successfully completed certification courses by Harvard Business Review (Collaboration with Tata Training center) on “Business Plan Development” & “ Decision Making “
