Millwright – Weyerhaeuser 2009-2014

Performed, planned & supervised contract maintenance on all mechanical aspects in the running of an 18 ft. wide paper machine, the formation of bales or roles and all the wrapping or packaging equipment. Examples include laser alignment from electric motors to pumps and gearboxes, conveyor chain and belt maintenance, axial and radial wrapping stations, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Installed and maintained steam, water, chemical and vacuum lines used in the process of turning pulp stock into a sheet of paper. Also helped in reengineering problem areas through vendors and machine shops.

Machinist – K Machine 2006-2009

Performed various tasks in the repairing and new machining of mechanical equipment including, but not limited to: pump shafts, impeller blades, Trunion bearings and various turbine parts. Operated a diversity of machines while repairing equipment, including: horizontal and vertical lathes/boring machines, large & small milling machines, key-cutters, Blanchard grinder & drill presses.

Millwright – Savannah Sugar Refinery 2001-2006

Maintained research & development and brown sugar production stations. Screened processes from manual and computer animated packing machines. Both stations produced manufactured goods from liquid to packaged product utilizing: Steam systems, pump & motors, conveyer belts, scrolls and dryers. System maintenance required mechanical, electrical and engineering skills.

Millwright – Kerr McGee 1998-2001

Performed pump motor alignment, conveyer maintenance, tank repairs, super heater and turbine work. Assisted in the maintenance and installation of equipment in acid, sulfate and steam plants, as well as other areas involved in the production of Titanium pigments.

Millwright – Palmer Johnson 1996-1998

Participated in several major mega yacht refits requiring V-12 & V-16 engine installation & shaft and rudder removal, repair, installation and alignment. Straightened prop shafts and performed lathe repairs and maintenance. Milled various custom made parts for particular applications.
