PROJECT WORK: January 2012- April 2012

Did the project on “APPLICATION FOR SIMULATING METRO RAIL OPTIMAL WAIT TIMES AT STATIONS BASED ON EXPECTED TRAFFIC” through JAVA platform.

Metro Rail has the advantage of connecting various junctions in the city. As there are multiple trains for a route, trains stop for a fixed time in all the stations.

But, the fixed time might not be the optimal solution and wait times should vary based on not only the station, but also timing of the trip.

This is a web based application which allows metro rail authorities in cities to study the traffic patterns in each route/trip before setting up the wait times for each of the stations in the route.
