Vice President: Business Operations (November 2014 – Present)

Provide much needed insight, which did not exist, and transparency into $1.2B of technology expenditures and allocations

Work alongside Finance, Product Management and Technology teams to develop a consistent monthly reporting cadence to ensure accuracy and of reported data to drive increased transparency

Manage internal controls to bridge gap between finance and technology to increase financial transparency with regards to allocations and capital expenditure for CCAR submission

Driving a new initiative to leverage Citi’s technology platform to automate reporting and provide customized analytics to senior management to reduce inefficiencies and wasteful expenditures and drive educated decision making

Assistant Vice President: Operations & Technology (July 2013 – November 2014)

Supported CIO and Treasury through development and implementation of strict internal audits, operating controls and rigorous analysis of financial and operational metrics across 15 functions. Assumed full responsibility and ownership of consolidated P&L reconciliation, audit and risk reporting to senior leadership

Led internal Treasury & Global CIO audit of over 2,200 counterparties to ensure proper compliance with federally mandated trading standards. Audit identified over 400 counterparties were non-compliant with federally mandated standards

Designed an internal controls process to diligence, and verify counterparties, which has been implemented throughout Treasury and CIO. This new process has significantly improved the verification of new clients with mandated standards and reduced onboarding times

Spearheaded an operational audit of the North American Business Resiliency which uncovered critical gaps within the Disaster Recovery Plan. Recommended a robust technology solution and balanced strategic recovery plan based on critical functions to Senior Leadership, which has now been implemented across the organization

Led the development and implementation of weekly business metrics that were presented to Senior Leadership to formalize reporting structures and quickly uncover and address global control issues. These metrics dramatically increased data consistency and accuracy shared internally and externally

Associate: CIB Finance & Business Management (July 2008 – July 2013)

Managed and controlled $550M Corporate Investment Banking infrastructure for Fixed Income, Securitized Products, Commodities and six other LOBs through accurate demand planning, forecasting and portfolio management

Proactively analyzed and forecasted CIB Technology spend and uncovered $20M of previously unidentified duplicative costs. The analysis and subsequent recommendations led to significant process changes that improved business efficiency and drove more effective business solutions

Led implementation of a data migration to lower cost storage tiers and transitioned servers to a virtual environment by analyzing current IT needs / infrastructure and rigorous costing analyses. The implementation led to $15M of cost savings across the entire IB organization

Network Analyst / Engineer (July 2007 – July 2008)

Lead Engineer for all engineering, implementation, documentation and compliance of Bear’s global WAN infrastructure. Provided Level 3 support for all network infrastructures WAN, MAN, LAN, OOB and Remote Access

Designed and implemented new technology communications projects and services within the core Bear Stearns IT infrastructure to allow for a more robust fail over environment during network outages for trading platforms. This included: Dedicated Backup, Remote Access, Backbone and Global Branch Office Infrastructures

Planned, acquisitioned and integrated 10 power plants from Williams Power to the Bear Stearns IT infrastructure which helped expand Bear’s energy portfolio to one of the largest natural gas power in the US

Led multi-million dollar projects, from building redundant architecture for disaster recovery to power plant systems integration, across the US for the new Bear Energy Business Unit

United States Army

Personnel Sergeant (November 1999 – November 2003)

Successfully led and was accountable for a 14 soldier rank while patrolling some of the most inhospitable regions of Afghanistan

Served under Task Force Devil during Operation Enduring Freedom and quickly rose in rank by exemplifying sound judgment, calmness while under duress and mental fortitude
