EXPERIENCE

CulinArt Inc, Mountain View, California November 2011- Present

Director of Catering/Assistant General Manager

-Responsible for all Catering events and functions on a campus over 1750 people.

-Organized the daily catered events, average 30 a day, topped out to 41 in a day.

-Worked with Executive Chef in menu writing and planning of large scale special events.

-Manage a team of 5 members directly and assist the General Manager in overseeing 32 total employees at our singular location

-Manage directly the growth of current Catering Coordinators and passing on responsibilities to them.

-Manage all staffed employees and in charge of all operational decisions for two (2) cafes, two (2) Starbucks bars and Catering Services when the General Manager is out on leave.

-Oversaw a growth in sales from $850k in to 2011, to $1.5 million for FY14.

-FY15 will end with over $1.75 million in sales

-Organized and ran production meetings with staff members in preparation of large scale events with over 1700 people attending.

-Plan and execute on average 8-10 large scale events (100+ guests) per month.

-Oversaw day to day operations including daily caterings for breakfast, lunch and afternoon deliveries.

-Average of 20 catering orders a day for a campus of 1500 people

-Worked with 40 Executive Administrators in planning and executing meals and events for their teams

-Assisted in Menu planning for special events ranging from 20 – 1200 people.

-Worked with the Catering Director with special onsite events.

-Inputted all orders into kBilling system and responsible for collecting and processing payments each day.

-Assisted the Food Services Director in daily responsibilities in running the Café including but not limited to working the cash register, restocking, in house marketing and promotions.

Expressly Gourmet, San Diego, California, September 2003 – April 2010

Manager of Daily Operations and Catering Coordinator

-Supervised full service catered events from 15 to 700 people

oHelped create the menu and establish the pick up and delivery times.

oSet up events on location and worked with the client to ensure that everything went smoothly and efficiently.

oStayed on site at events and oversaw that everything was appropriately taken care of and also supervised the tear down of each event.

-Coordinated catered events and catered drop off deliveries with restaurants and also the clients.

-Helped develop a new nighttime residential delivery program.

-Responsible for creating print and online advertisements ideas and concepts.

-Worked diligently with the appropriate managers at the partnered advertising firms in coordinating the locations of the ads and the length of time they would be displayed.

-Responsible for reconciling drivers’ tips and wages at the end of each shift.
