Served as Junior Controller. Jointly lead a team of 8 and reporting to Business Controller in legal entity with a dotted line to the Regional Controller in Germany. The company is engaged in manufacturing, trading, and institutional & retail sales of pumps, spare parts and accessories. Successfully integrated the newly acquired company into the group reporting structure and developed the local team for further group reporting.

SULZER CHEMTECH MIDDLE EAST SPC, BAHRAIN May 2012 to April 2015

Associated as Finance and Controlling Manager. Lead a team of 4 in 3 locations and reported to MD of Middle East region with a dotted line to the Business Unit Controller in HQ in Switzerland. Financial accounting and Corporate reporting

Participation in monthly and periodic management meeting and presenting financial result

Preparation of financial statements and management reports including variance analysis, KPIs, capital expenditures and cash flow / working capital

Supervision of monthly & periodic closing and day to day accounting

Accounting for construction projects and contracts using Percentage Of Completion (POC)

Inter-company accounting & related party transactions including inter-company reconciliation

Managing insurance and related accounting & reporting

Planning & budgeting

Planning for the establishment of new manufacturing and service facilities in GCC region

Prepare rolling forecast, annual and mid-term budget and estimate for the year

Commercial

Reviewing and advising the commercial and legal issues before submission of a bid, during the negotiation and at the time of acceptance of PO

Project controlling and profitability reporting including project milestone review

Treasury and Investment management

Proactive management of relationship with bank and corporate treasury function

Assisting management in financing decisions for CAPEX and working capital

Forecasting cash position and allocation of surplus cash in various classes of assets

Maximizing the finance income and minimizing the finance cost

Supervising short and long term financing and trade financing arrangements

Contract, Compliance & Legal

I joined as Assistant Manager in December 2009 and got promoted to this position in December 2011 (minimum period for promotion as per company policy).
