Simply,
I’m a graphic designer who is looking
to become part of a great team of people
who just love to create
& solve problems.
Employment:
•Tom’s Oyster Bar - Royal Oak, Mi.
Bartender/Superviser/Trainer/Service
August 2013 - Present
I create all of the in-house graphic design work to promote all features & products. Everything from posters & various print collateral, to advertisements in Hour Magazine. I’ve also created promotional work for their sister store, Ale Mary’s. Each project created awareness and engagement with the location. I also do everything else my position suggests.
•Robert Angle Designs - Ferndale, Mi.
Creative Lead & Consultant
June 2011 - Present
In my short time doing contracted freelance work I’ve had the opportunity to work on a small variety of things. Projects ranging from web landing page layout and rendering, to photo retouching, sign making, hand-illustrated promotions, brand marks & logo’s, motions graphics, and business cards. I love it. Sitting down with people and helping them get their ideas out of their head and onto paper. Brainstorming concepts in order to create a solution to their needs. And delivering work that stands out and stands strong. Robert Angle Graphic Designer & Illustrator

More Employment:
•Mitchell's Fish Market - Birmingham, Mi.
Bartender/Trainer/Lead Service
June 2011 - October 2013
Including all of the routine duties for my position, I did help create the hotel menu collateral for the surrounding area. This project was meant to service the surrounding hotels by creating awareness for the restaurant and revenue. They liked the results so much I was asked to do the same for another location in Rochester Michigan. Additional Skills:
I've held other managerial positions for direct sales and marketing companies, a car dealership...a shoe store. In those positions I've learned interpersonal communication, public speaking, goal setting, micro and macro management, teamwork, how to work with tight deadlines, and that there will be times where you have to push on a little longer in the day to reach your objectives. Education:
•Oakland C.C. - Farmington Hills, Mi.
A.A.S. - Graphic Design
3.86 g.p.a.- Summa Cum Laude
June 2011 Graduate
In the classroom environment I learned fundamental aspects of what graphic design is and how it is used in everyday life. Topics such as composition strategies with balance, value, rhythm, color theory, heirarchy, and typography. Also, how to incorporate relevant graphics and photography into a composition without losing the focal point; all things that are the difference between what you might call effective and ineffective graphic design. As well as how to work in a team to develope concepts, and how to take critique on an entire project from concept to final product. Robert Angle Graphic Designer & Illustrator

Fun Facts & Interests:
People who know me would tell you that
I'm pretty loose around others. I crack
jokes and am excitable in large social
settings. If I'm not working on something,
you can usually find me reading any
variety of content relating to graphic
design. Including tips and tutorials on
how to produce a certain technique, or
whats happening with new software
updates and cross-platform integrations.
There's so much information readily
available to learn just about anything
you want. I know, fun stuff! All aimed at
chiseling Me into the best I can be.
Aside from design related things, I'm a
big follower of music ( who isn't? ) of all
kinds. Well, all kinds except for country. It
just doesn't make it into the rotation. I'm
usually plugged into Pandora or Songza
at any given point.
I really like staying physically active.
My lady love is a Pilates instructor and
she whips me into shape when she can.
Other than that you'll catch me on the
basketball court missing completely wide
open lay ups. It's funny.
I used to play music for a few years. Our
band even pressed a full release and
played shows to promote the effort. We
thought we were kinda like rock stars.
