Working with major operators such as Chevron, BP, and HESS on projects in Angola, Singapore, and Korea. Areas of specialty include structural engineering and weight management for all stages of design engineering, from conceptual to detailed design for floaters and offshore platforms such as FPSO’s, fixed platforms, tension leg platforms, topsides and jackets. Software, includes SACS/PDMS for modeling and analysis of offshore structures. Extensive use of MS office for weight control using graphs, charts, and pivot tables to illustrate weight and center of gravity trends and variances.

Education

B.S. Civil Engineering, University of Houston, Texas; 2006 Professional Experience

Alliance Engineering/Wood Group Mustang – Houston, Texas February 2007 – February 2015 Structural/Weight Engineer

Prepared and managed the topsides and jacket weight control reports for all stages of design engineering

(conceptual/preliminary (FEED)/ detailed design engineering for fixed, wellhead, production and compression platforms, spar and FPSO’s.

Responsible for tracking, analyzing, reporting and presenting monthly weight and cost variances utilizing V-look up functions, what if analysis, pivot tables, graphs and charts. Conducted on-going weight and cost budget forecasting based on current available data.

Collected, entered, maintained, monitored and interpreted engineering weight and cost data.

Estimated weight for different disciplines such as structural weight based on layouts and bulk components such as piping, electrical and instrumentation based on mechanical equipment list for weight control and design purposes.

Produced monthly reports for all stages of design engineering based on analysis from engineering data.

Prepared material take-off and topsides structural steel fabrication price sheet for primary, secondary and tertiary steel based on MTO from PDMS model.

Lead, interdisciplinary as well as client meetings, presenting weight and cost data. Involved in discussions with the client regarding weight shedding for lifting and/or transportation purposes

Carried out In-place, lift and loadout analysis for detail engineering (topsides deck, modules, access platforms, monorails etc.) using SACS applying principles standards and codes specifically API and ASD.

Re-analysis of deck and jacket for in-place, lift, and loadout conditions.

Performed deck loading verification calculations and reviewed design and construction drawings.

Worked directly with the project manager on a number of tasks including assisting writing the feed verification report. Project coordination with multi-discipline groups on specific tasks.

Carried out a technical review of vendor equipment drawings and assisted in the technical bid packages to be delivered to fabricators.

Researched, developed and monitored material and labor unit rates and assisted in cost estimation during the duration of the project.

Worked with the team for more efficient designs to achieve weight cost optimization.

Provided technical direction to designers and support to management.

Ensured project deadlines were met based on schedule milestones and within budget. Skills
