Marketing Operation is a part Dow Jones which deals majorly circulation operation of WSJ(Wall Street Journal).It deals with the subscription data of WSJ, Barron’s etc. throughout the world which roughly 1.2M print and 400K online. The project deals of collecting subscription data from different sources and clean them according to the needs of the business. Also collecting several marketing and campaign data and store them in database for pulling them with complex sql.

Responsibilities

Was a part of the Data provisioning/ Circulation Operations group.

Required to handle large and complex data sets; help with analysis and creating tables and views based on user requirements under a severe time constraint.

Some of the End User applications using these views that I created are IBM UNICA and MS ACCESS (accessing Data Base).

Was part of the ongoing requirement of converting existing shell script to Python scripts for more flexibility.

Using Python 2.7 in Unix created python scripts to pull data from files and create new file implementing business logic.

MDB CTI Application Development October 2013 to May 2014

MDB, Multi client Data Broker is an oracle database designed and developed by CTI as a Data Mart for temporary storage of sets of accounting data retrieved from FDR. FDR, Financial Data Repository is the source for all MDB operations. It is where the current data, historical data, EOD and EOM data and client’s operational data are being stored. Vision of CTI (Client Technology Interface ) Knowledgebase is an Enterprise solution which will create an application that will provide internal CTI users the ability to configure, schedule, generate, and deliver data extracts (both standard and custom) to clients or internal destinations in a flexible and automated fashion. CTI Team is responsible for delivery of extracts to the majority of State Street clients and other third parties. Each night over 11,600 jobs are run and over 6,500 data feeds are supported to provide over 450 clients and vendors time critical data extracts.

Responsibilities:

Extensive hands on experience in writing PLSQL packages, stored procedures & functions.

Developed views for data replication in distributed environments.

Partitioned large Tables using range partition technique.

Work with Business Analyst and Business Objects teams to get brief idea about requirements and translate the requirement into technical specifications.

Created scripts to create new tables, views, queries for new enhancement in the application using TOAD.
