Looking for a suitable position as Microbiologist in Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical or food industry to contribute my skills and passion to achieve great satisfaction for me and company.

Educational qualification: Completed Master of Science in Microbiology from University of Pune, Maharashtra, India in 1996.

Experience: Completed 6 months on job training as a microbiologist in pharmaceutical lab in Pune India.

Visa Status: US Citizen

Project Work during Post Graduation: Microbiology of Anarasa ( Traditional Indian Fermented Food ) Dough: The physical, chemical and microbiological analysis of anarasa dough which was made from rice flour and jiggery/sugar has done.

The total sample was checked for its total viable bacterial count on standard plate count agar, along with total viable count for yeast and molds was checked by spread plating technique.

Microbiological analysis revealed typical lactic acid bacteria in the dough. Yeast also detected in the dough during the storage of dough. Anarasa can thus be regarded as a fermented food where lactic acid bacteria bring about production of acid during soaking of rice.

Instrumentation Or Techniques Used During Project Work:

1.Physical Testing

2.Chemical Testing includes Titration, PH, Fat extraction, Nitrogen estimation by Nessler’s method,

Determination of reducing sugar

3.Microbiological Analysis includes Incubator, Autoclave, Standard Plate Count Agar (SPCA), Acid production was tested by using DeMann Rogosa Sharpe’s Medium ( MRS), Isolation Of Organism was done using Gram Stains, etc.

Project Work during Graduation: Respiratory Metabolism of Bivalve in Relation To Environmental Factors:

The study of respiratory metabolism in fresh water bivalve is undertaken in view to get the knowledge of

Respiration in relation to different environmental factors like temperature, PH, salt concentration of the media, starvation, desiccation and body size.

Instrumentation Or Techniques Used During Project Work:

Physical testing, Titration, Respiratory glass jar, Electro chemicals like PH meter, Incubator, Thermometer, etc.

Some Other Technique or Instrumentation Known Are:

Microscopy includes Light microscope, autoclaves (sterilization by moist heat), and sterilization by dry heat. Culturing, Culture technique, Media preparation, plate pours, Identification Of microorganisms using gram staining, acid fast staining, streak plate technique, isolation technique. Aseptic techniques. Immunoassay including enzyme immunoassay (EIA), ELIZA, radioimmunoassay (RIA). Fermentation. Some molecular bio techniques known are cloning, transformation, polymerase chain reaction. Electrophoresis like SDS – PAGE.

Aware of routine microbiological testing.

Knowledge of industrial microbiology: In depth knowledge of practices like GLP, GMP and GCP.

Computer Skillset: Microsoft Windows, Office (Excel, Word, Power point etc.), Also have some knowledge of SQL and Relational Database Management systems
