In my position as senior engineer with IBM System x (acquired by Lenovo in October 2014), I led the architecture and development of the ruggedized versions of the IBM BladeCenter and Flex platforms for use in the telecom industry. Concurrently, I worked with external companies on collaborative designs involving customized hardware and software deliveries.

My primary role was technical advocate and pre-sales support for a number of high- profile and demanding telecom and defense customers, in large part because of my strong communication and customer relationship skills along with deep technical knowledge of our server, networking, and storage product line. I worked closely with customers to gather requirements and translate those requirements into actionable product plans with the product design teams. I received multiple technical advocacy awards while at IBM based on my ability to effectively match product features and roadmaps to customer needs and simultaneously convert customer datacenter requirements into ongoing product strategy in the development organization.

● Led multi-disciplinary development teams in on-time execution of requirements, worked with management on resource prioritization, and daily issue tracking.

● Authored the technical documentation necessary for all development and support teams for execution of a product from inception to manufacturing and field support.

● Developed technical whitepapers, end user documentation, training materials, and marketing collateral for product introductions, launches, and field support.

● Experienced with all networking and storage interfaces (Eth/FC/FoE/SAS).

● Worked closely on Intel x86-based server roadmap, and collaborated closely with customer base to align server product roadmap with customer’s long term strategy.

● Configured lab test equipment including servers, networking, and storage for customer evaluations and performance vs power measurements as well as regulatory compliance testing.

● Highly experienced with all Microsoft Office products and collaborative databases.

● Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent presentation and customer relations skills. Awarded multiple customer advocacy awards at IBM.
