Network Engineer
Responsible for providing exemplary communications support for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) on the Global Services Management Operations Contract.
Key Accomplishments:
Developed and implemented a wide spectrum of communications services within all Geographical areas under the United States Military and Government Area of Operations.
Maintained network compliance through engineering and implementing industry standard requirements.
Solid understanding of network technologies, both transport and IP.
Configured a variety of Circuit configurations via the Government and Commercially leased Broadband cloud.
Connections such as SONET, SDH, Packet over SONET, Gigabit Ethernet, Redundant trunks, Virtual Concatenated circuits, working and protect paths. Terminating these services on Cisco Multi-Service Provisioning Platform 15454 and Sycamore Optical Digital Cross Connect SN9 and SN16K Broadband Switches on Multi-Rate Optical, Multi-Rate Ethernet, GigE Line Interface Modules, DS1/E1 modules. Node stitched circuits via like nodes to better allocate bandwidth.
Translated and processed requirements into action plans, developing systems engineering solutions to satisfy local and wide area network operational requirements, system-control, and user requirements.
Ensured operational efficiency through design and implementation of non-standard configurations to fixed, remote, and occasionally austere environments.
Collaborated with the DISA Commercial Services team and commercial vendors to deliver, test, and turn up leases and dependent circuits into the DISN Points of Presence and Enterprise cloud.
Improved information accuracy, documenting path and circuit elements in management databases of record.

Network Design Engineer
Responsible for working as part of the DISA DISN Global Solutions (DGS) program tasked with implementing network communications throughout the European, Southwest Asia and African theaters supporting United States Combatant Commands and major Government Agencies.
Key Accomplishments:
Installed and provisioned core nodes and gateway trunks within Europe, Southwest Asia and North America utilizing a myriad of latest technology platforms.
Managed projects through to completion, working with multiple critical non-standard customer requirements.
Improved operational efficiency through assisting and instructing customer and site personnel with Operational and Performance troubleshooting, as well as addressing and resolving technical and procedural issues raised by government and DISN contractors.
Participated in the activation and phase-in of core systems into the network and deactivation of legacy equipment suites. Migrating services off of Asynchronous Transfer Mode Switches onto CISCO and Sycamore
Multi-Service switches.
Ensured the proper materials were on hand in order to complete installations, collaborating with Government counterparts, both in CONUS and OCONUS.

Communications Team Leader
Assigned to Communications Team providing voice, data, network infrastructure, and tactical satellite services to support NATO mission and exercise requirements.
Key Accomplishments:
Deployed, implemented, and supported computer workstations, routers, hubs, and peripherals in sometimes austere conditions.
Developed and installed cabling to include fiber optic and Category Five unshielded twisted pair.
Served as Operations Supervisor responsible for the planning and drafting of tasking and operations orders, and Supervisor for the User Interface Enclosure (UIE) communications assemblage.
