Summary
I was a sacker at Price Chopper for about a year, learned how to fit things in plastic or paper bags. It helped me organized things a little better. After Price Chopper, I worked at Panda Express where I served and help prepared food. Working in these kind of environments helped me improve my people skills and how I interact with customers and how to serve them better. After working in retail, I also worked at a Manufacturing job called EC Manufacturing where I worked for a year and half until it closed down recently. I was a Machine Operator, trained to operate all types of machines in the production floor as well as machines in packaging. Worked day shift and later on moved to night shift. Here are some things I was responsible for especially when I was working at packaging area. Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications. Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn't sticking properly. Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material. Start machine by engaging controls. Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items Count and record finished and rejected packaged items. Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor. Stack finished packaged items, or wrap protective material around each item and pack the items in cart on so r containers. Clean and remove damaged or otherwise inferior materials to prepare raw products for processing. Clean packaging containers, line and pad crates, or assemble cartons to prepare for product packing. Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as opening valves or setting guides.
