• Maintain and support automated packaging lines to allow for efficient and safe packaging of quality product by strictly adhering to GMPs, OSHA and company’s SOPs. Analyzes and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical and electronic manufacturing equipment.
• Partner with other mechanics, line leaders and operators to ensure understanding of operational issues and corrective actions to be taken while minimizing production down time.
• Reengineer the machines for Line change over, Set up, Start up, including vision system adjustments and complete all applicable documentation.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance including unplanned/emergency repairs. Support Manufacturing, Engineering and Product Development departments with ongoing and new projects and their validations.
• Spearheaded reduction in wastage of raw materials by precision adjustments of machine sensors.

Project: Graphite rod cleaning machine. Graphite rods baked covered in calcined petroleum coke and graphite fines, needs to cleaned before dispatching finished products. Cleaning process which was done manually takes 75 minutes per rod, which when automated could save upto 50 minutes. Thereby saving labour cost and time.
