Operations Manager, Thorne Electric Co, San Antonio, TX 2000-2006
Managed Shipping and Receiving Department, Warehouse and Customer Service. Worked with various shipping companies to a 15% decrease shipping costs and improve transit times and reliability, resulting in significant savings for Thorne Electric and increased customer satisfaction.
Managed over $3 million in warehouse inventory and supervised personnel, to include hiring and firing. Improved fill rates and accountability and reduced shrinkage, which resulted in fewer back orders and shortages. Decreased personnel turnover.
Worked with national sales force on promotions and special orders. Coordinated deliveries from production in Mexico to delivery to the customer, ensuring all timelines were met and customer satisfaction, resulting in increased sales.
