Selected Responsibilities and Accomplishments

Provide consulting services for a major health insurance company to transfer their database contact manager, with links to documents on their servers from different locations to an extranet available to all their users as major web base service. In addition, provide Remote Management to resolve issues over their network and remote storage network.

Design server plan to configure Organizational Units, Group Policies to coincide with department policies/regulations within the client's business. In addition, implemented folder rights to protect file security from unauthorized access, and not allowing foreign entities to take ownership of folders and/or drives, as well as disk quotas to avoid excess storage on a MS-Windows 2008 Enterprise Server. Configure VPN access for remote users located at different locations across the US. In addition, setup an MS-Exchange server with multiple email accounts receiving emails from different domain servers the company has for eCommerce, for internal email transfers depending on the organizational units, and the group policies associated with said accounts, this included filter restrictions, and redirections, as well as disk quotas.

Configured MS-Windows 2012 server R2, for server replication between two remote locations. In addition, remote access through VPN groups at different locations across the nation with Mac equipment, using SonicWall TZ series as a security appliance.

Managed all aspects of a company IT function including recruitment, hiring and training of staff, budgeting, scheduling work and activities, establishing policies and procedures, procurement of equipment and supplies, performance evaluations and motivation of employees.

Design network infrastructure under Windows 2008 Enterprise Server, and Windows 2003 Enterprise Servers for Active directory Federation Services for domain controllers, their Organizational Units, Group policy, and DFS. Implementation, and administration, active directory replication, fault tolerant environment design, RADIUS server for RRAS, VPN security.

Setup, manage, and troubleshoot MS-Virtual Machine and VMware. Server RAID level configuration, and management, designed a backup schedule procedure, and configure disaster recovery plan.

Reduce downtime through creation of a standardized plan to scan data for reliability and integrity prior to the daily, weekly and monthly backup. Tested the new process and then trained staff to perform the required periodic functions.

Boosted productivity and employee morale through restructure of the client-server operation. Adjusted the system based on a hierarchy system for sharing of printers and data. Establish a network policy and train employees and legal professionals on the use of this new network application, allowing employees to complete more tasks in a timely manner.

Researched, and Recommend forensic technology to provide proper procedures to conduct in depth scans on different media types to recover deleted files, without compromising integrity of the original media.

Increased revenue to an academic organization through research into alternatives for those without a High School diploma. Researched GED and ACT requirements and qualifications and established a new on-boarding process that could focus these individuals towards career college enrollment. The student population increased 33% with revenue up $200K as a direct result of this new business avenue.

Boosted corporate business opportunities through development of a comprehensive 20 class Information Technology curriculum. Researched publishers for appropriate college books introduced new testing templates and created handouts. Established curriculum protocols, managed a team to deliver this information and personally provided lecture, small group and one-on-one instruction. As part of the legal team, it was part of my duties to oversee the complete process, and advised my client of the technical process employed by both parties, as well as the judge ruling the proceedings, in a simple format.
