Project Procurement Manager – Directed Project Procurement Management and Task Force operations while making independent decisions and recommendations impacting Project Operations. Demonstrated creativity, foresight and maturity in resolving project issues and procurement problems. Advised Procurement Department Manager of developments that could affect project profits, schedules, costs, client relations and interdepartmental coordination.

During completion of the Dow Chemical Falcon Project led and coordinated operations recovering over $2 million of purchased but undelivered materials, materials and equipment purchased from unacceptable suppliers, and unacceptable quality materials and equipment from China and the USA.

2007 – 2010: Jacobs Engineering Group, Houston, Texas

Project Procurement Manager – Lead Procurement Department functions, including administration of Purchasing, Expediting and Logistics control functions, while establishing and implementing effective Procurement Management Leadership Systems, methods and procedures for office or operational group functions. Accountable to Director of Supply Management.

2001 – 2007: ABB Lummus Global, Inc., Houston, Texas

Project Procurement Manager – Directed worldwide management of Purchasing, Expediting and Logistics operations in support of assigned Project Engineering and Construction Projects; similar to the Murphy Oil USA Clean Fuels Project Hydrocracker and Deasphalted Gas Oil Hydro-treating Train, which completed procurement of materials and equipment at $13 million under project budget; and the Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Company Ltd. individual Ethyl Benzene/Styrene Monomer (EB/SM), Styrene and Ethylene processing facilities within the Shanghai Ethylene Cracker Complex.

Monitored Project Procurement status and other procurement related work activities to facilitate early identification and resolution of operational problems, work scope changes, operations disputes and claims resolution. Led negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors. Reviewed and approved all purchase orders and subcontracts prior to final document execution. Reported to the Director of Procurement.

MILITARY EXPERIENCE

Graduated from United States Army Quartermaster Officers Basic Supply School, Officers Advanced Supply School and the Quartermaster Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants (POL) School at Fort Lee, Virginia.

Served as Platoon Leader of sixty-six man Terminal Operating Platoon operating pipeline pump stations, constructing pipelines, and constructing POL storage tank farms with Army Corps of Engineers.

Promoted to Company Commander of Petroleum Operating Company commanding five officers and two hundred forty-eight enlisted men. Conducted POL distribution operations, while constructing, maintaining and operating multi-product tank farms, pump stations, pipelines and laboratory services. Responsible for $60 million in petroleum products, equipment, supplies and operating facilities.

Honorably Discharged from the United States Army.
