The project is for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) .The MARx System is an application that validates enrollment related beneficiary requests and, if the requests are valid, enrolls and disenrolls beneficiaries in Managed Care Plans and/or Prescription Drug Plans offered by Medicare-approved contractors (“Plans”). Each month, MARx calculates Medicare payments for each Plan, summarizing the enrollment and adjusting payments for changes in membership and beneficiary status. MARx also exchanges information about the enrollees, contracts, and payments with the Medicare Beneficiary Database (MBD), Risk Adjustment Processing System (RAPS), Payment Reconciliation Summary Reports (PRS), enrollment database (EDB),the Premium Withhold Subsystem (PWS), Drug Data Processing System (DDPS).the Health Plan Management System (HPMS), and the Automated Plan Payment System (APPS). In addition, MARx generates a broad suite of reports used primarily for managing the payments.

The MARx application includes both online and batch processing capabilities. Plans submit transactions to MARx as batches, and MARx updates its records on the database, calculates payments, and generates daily and monthly reports. The User Interface (UI), or online portion of MARx, is available to Plans for researching problems. CMS users have more extensive UI privileges, and can use the UI to update as well as view records.

Aircraft Maintenance Information System (AMIS) is designed to help aircraft owners and maintenance organizations reduce their operation costs by introducing effective aircraft maintenance planning. AMIS can be used for any type of aircraft including helicopters. Aircraft manufacturers usually have standard maintenance schedules for each type of aircraft, which are primarily targeted for high utilization aircrafts. Such maintenance is usually scheduled by flying hours, and there are aircrafts not flying as often are on schedule is called Low Utilization Maintenance Schedule, or LUMS.
