EXPERIENCE
Quality/Engineering Manager, Richardson Molding Incorporated, Philadelphia, MS., March 2011 to present date.
Responsibilities:
Has the responsibility for contributing substantially to the overall efficiency and product quality. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and managing all quality personnel in supporting the operation. Identifying and coordinating training needs for all quality personnel.
Maintaining close working relationships with all departments in quality functions and customer requirements. Assisting in quality improvements of injection molding tooling, materials and processes for better yields and customer satisfaction. Has the responsibility of quarantining, coordinating inspections and providing feedback on all complaints and returns. Has the responsibility for providing customer certifications, approvals, scrap reports, test reports, etc., as required. Has responsibility for overseeing the disposition of all non-conforming products. Has the responsibility of the plant Quality Management Representative and assists in ISO implementation. Understands the entire quality system and has the ability to make practical and consistent decisions, with product as well as personnel, and is essential to the operation in order to maintain optimal quality in production of product.
Has the responsibility for direct communications with Customers and Suppliers regarding quality issues and concerns, providing and/or evaluating and approving Corrective Actions as needed for closure, including quarantining and containment of product and sort/rework activities as required (Root Cause Analyses, 8-D, 5-Why).
Responsible for Managing Quality Team for effective day to day quality activities, QE activities regarding ANPQP, Control Plan, PFMEA, PPAP development and approvals. Quality Management Representative for all Customer and ISO Audits, Management Review and Internal Audits.
Responsible for development and communicating all quality reports (exa. Monthly Cost of Quality) and evaluations related to problem solving, corrective actions and continuous improvements.
Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, computer skills (Microsoft Office, Mini-Tab) and Customer/Supplier relationship development skills. Owner, Hardy Farms in Philadelphia, MS, December 1995 to October 2008. Farms consist of eight poultry broiler houses contracted with Tyson Foods located in Carthage, MS. Farms capable of producing approximately 200,000 broilers per each flock, and approximately 5.5 flocks per year, giving a total annual production of approximately 1,100,000 broilers for harvest.
Named "Outstanding Poultry Producer" for 2006 by the Neshoba County Soil and Water Conservation District.
Engineering Manager, Chahta Enterprise, Philadelphia, MS., December 1988 to December of 1995.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities included managing all activities of the Engineering Department which included Pricing or Quoting of new and existing business to customers; Ford Motor Company, United Technologies, etc. Plant Warehouse layouts and start-ups. Had responsibility for managing the various engineering disciplines on all new products implemented as well as existing products in production.
Responsibility included (Project Leader) for the implementation of major new business in 1992. This business consisted of a major floor wiring family for the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable car line totaling approximately 25 million dollars in annual sales. The responsibilities included total maintenance of the project from conception to production, Bill of Materials development/maintenance, Acquisition of equipment needed for production, Plant Layout, Complete Production Implementation including the planning and support of numerous production line starts, etc. Served as Quality Liaison for all Launch Activities for new model and model change activities as well as on-site Engineer at Ford Pilot Plant during the initial 1992 Taurus/Sable development.
Was responsible for significant cost savings proposals and implementations for Chahta Enterprise and Ford Motor Company using the Continuous Process Improvement, VAVE (Value Analysis Value Engineering), “Kaizen” and Benchmarking disciplines.
Received the President’s Award in 1990.
Promoted to Senior Engineer in 1990.
Promoted to General Supervisor of Product and Applications Engineering in 1993.
Promoted to Engineering Manager in 1994.

Responsibilities:
Development of Production Standards for the various factories by using the MTM (Methods Time Measurement) and traditional time study methods. These standards communicated appropriate pay rates (Piece Work System) to the factories, and product labor costs to the Cost Accounting Department. Also worked on Plant Layouts to improve efficiencies, analysis of work methods to improve operator productivity, etc. Responsibilities included all production standards at the Waynesboro, MS plant and partial responsibility of standards at the Philadelphia, MS facility.
