Construction Subcontracts Manager

Provide support function for jobsite start up on the Enterprise PDH Project, Mont Belvieu, TX. (4 years / $3bn.) Interface with Procurement Group on Subcontracting and field Purchasing. Generate Construction Subcontract Requisitions for issue to the Procurement Group. Interface with Clients in regards to subcontracting strategies, pre-approvals and contract awards. Provide field support for Materials Management when required. Currently assigned to FW Upstream supporting all procurement activities.

URS CORPORATION WASHINGTON DIVISION, Houston, TX 2008-2013

Project Procurement Manager (2008-2009)

Assigned to lead all procurement management functions for the Petro Canada Oil Sands U&O Project Revive effort with responsibility for achieving all project cost and client focused deliverables. Assumed responsibility for previously issued purchase orders and subcontracts ensuring all project requirements were met throughout the project life cycle.

Site Materials & Procurement Manager (2010)

Directed the materials management and field procurement functions for the Hudson Generating Station BET Project (PSEG) supporting all material receipts, inventory, and storage related activities associated with field purchases, expedites, and follow through. Supervised a staff of seven in the execution of all field procurement and warehousing activities.

CB & I, Houston, TX Area Procurement Manager 2008-2009

Led the day-to-day execution of procurement and staff functions with managerial oversight for all manpower loading, budget administration, project management, process development, and staff performance evaluations. Acted in a PPM role and supported the FEED estimate and early procurement for the Cartagena Ecopetrol Refinery Upgrade project, responsible for the procurement of sulfur block and CCU long lead components.

JACOBS ENGINEERING GROUP, Houston, TX Project Procurement Manager 2007-2008

Managerial leadership and responsibility for the procurement of engineered equipment and bulk material in support of field erection schedules for a six-year, $10 billion project comprised of 800+ well sites, five CDP stations, water handling facilities. Supervised a staff of ten buyers, expediters, and administrators.

●Assigned to the first upstream project ever executed at JEG for BP, responsible for defining procurement execution plans for both FEED and EPC packages that included a ten-year purchasing strategy.

●Utilized leverage purchasing to support long term project goals resulting in demonstrated cost savings of $7+ million on targeted “buy downs” across all commodities and equipment ultimately recognized as a critical component to the overall success of the project.

URS ADVATECH, Overland Park, KS Project Procurement Manager 2003-2007

Coordinated the day-to-day and strategic project purchasing operations focused on the procurement of engineered equipment and bulk material in support of project material required to support home office and field/project material requirements and schedules across multiple locations. Managed and oversaw subcontracted pipe fabrication and equipment requirements that included the sourcing of domestic and international fabrication shops within highly competitive markets and administered contracts for $1.5 million in domestic contracts while negotiating a 10% reduction in contract pricing. Directed the negotiation and execution of $10 million in labor contracts for shop fabricated piping for the manufacture of heat recovery steam generators, the equipment centerpiece for combined cycle plants.
