Measurement While Drilling (MWD)

Refers to a technique of making downhole trajectory operational measurements of a borehole position, tool face orientation, formation parameters and drilling information using sensors located in the bottom hole assembly adjacent to the drill bit. These measurements are made during drilling and can be recorded down hole and/or transmitted to surface. Down hole tools can be used by surface equipment to decode information such as direction, degree and logging tools amongst many other things related to drilling a well, and completing a well based on gamma-ray data, inclination and azimuths.

Proven capabilities to problem solve an array of operational and technical incidents and make on the spot decisions in the oilfield under intense pressure to ensure well performance.

Establish and communicate the current well plan, information processes, and wellbore data with leadership and on/off site team members clearly and succinctly. Team includes Oil Company Representative, Geologist, Drilling Engineer, Directional Drillers and Rig Crew.

Actively troubleshoot all tool incidents in a timely manner that include but not limited to surface gear, tool operation, functionality, wellbore data and processes.

Follow strictly designed complex processes on a daily basis to ensure a high operational efficiency.

Consistently ensure effective and accurate data that is vital to the ongoing operation and to retain high priority clients for future business.

Attend safety meetings and update safety certificates throughout year that are mandatory to being on drilling location.
