2014 – Current UPS, Ft Worth, TX
The UPS Package Handler position is a physical one in which package handlers constantly lift, lower and slide packages weighing between 25 and 70 pounds. It is a very fast-paced position. Package handlers can work full or part time.
The package handler position is great for parents and college students who may have limited time availability as part-time package handlers generally work three to four hours a day, Monday through Friday. About 82 percent of the UPS workforce is involved with package handling, driving motor vehicles or both. UPS promotes from within so the package handler position is a great entry-level position for those individuals who want to reach higher levels in the organization.
