Consultant/Query writer/Reports Subject Matter Expert for new Affinity Revenue Cycle Only (RCO) systems for Los Angeles County – currently under development. Los Angeles Department of Health Services is in the process of converting clinical applications to a Cerner environment. Current needs under revenue cycle are not sufficient within Cerner and LA County has decided to implement a Revenue Cycle Only system with Affinity. All hospitals and health centers will have their own instance of this system, interfacing with Cerner and will also feed into an enterprise system. Consolidated efforts will have the Central Business Office controlling most of the data mailers and collections and a centralized procedure will handle administration for the charge master and relevant code updates as necessary.
RCO duties also include cost/benefit analysis, analyzing constraints, and assessing risk for this series of complex systems, which will work under an enterprise system.
