Plant Manager
Responsible for seasonal workforce-between 80 and 120 hourly employees, supervised by 4 direct reports. $3.5M budget, 180,000 square feet facility with CNC punches, Bending, and turret presses. Welding and assembly processes as well.
Commonized processes to improve efficiency of main product line. Decreased tooling set up by 4%, and improved throughput by 10%.
Improved WIP inventory by developing a Kanban that pulled demand from the CNC processes. This minimized waste, tidied up the area, and improved efficiency.
Dramatically improved a culture that was circling in a cloud of negativity when I arrived. I did this through tough love, tough coaching, and integrity.

Operations Lead
Responsible for 30 hourly associates and 2 Group Leaders, in the production of a classified, defense product sold to the United States, and other countries’ Naval forces.
Performed a layout of 3 core production cells to eliminate waste, and improve quality using current state/future state mapping. In the first six months afterward, we realized a 5% reduction in in-process errors.
Laid out regressive flow system that clearly identified inbound and outbound product. By doing this, test errors were virtually eliminated.

Responsible for the scheduling, planning and execution of the Production of 20M in sales
annually, with P & L responsibility. Management of over 120, non-union employees and
Management of over 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
Implemented the application of two robotic welding cells, effectively eliminating 20% in labor cost, and increasing welding quality by 30%. This gave way for many efficiency gains in this continuous processing of welded components.
